Yes, the debut is sensational! How to label Killing an Arab, for example? It's neither punk nor pop, it's a bare and very simple piece, yet you can't categorize it. Just beautiful.

no no, I would never dream of comparing from a technical standpoint, in terms of value as musicians, an Eros Ramazzotti and the DT; it’s obvious that the DT are people who have worked their asses off for years and studied at one of the most renowned schools, and just for that they deserve more respect than a Ramazzotti. However, my comparison was referring to the final result, to what a Ramazzotti and the DT are able to create, to express; and honestly, I don’t see much difference in terms of quality, you will never be able to convince me on this! ; ) After all, as Gestalt says, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and that’s fundamentally why I cannot consider being highly technical musicians as sufficient to create great music (in this case, I’m not really responding to you, but rather to the barrage of identical comments that have come in lately!) Cheers, guys, a hug!

Last note for Attilio: no, that's not how it works; you can't just review what you like; are you telling me that in magazines, online, in biographies or books, you've only read praising reviews? Since when? And what kind of world would that be? No discussions, no excitement, everything enclosed and restrained in what is beautiful for each person. No, because for beauty to exist, there must also be someone who tries to say what is not beautiful.

x nth anonymous below: it’s pointless for you to play on the fact that I quoted Moore instead of Rudess (as if I care about that..): a single mistake doesn’t change the fact that I’ve listened to this album thoroughly, much to your dismay.. Bring convincing arguments to support your opinions instead of resorting to these nonsense defenses.. as for the rest, I can’t tell if your review is the result of a serious mental handicap (with all due respect for mentally handicapped individuals) or if, poor thing, you’re just a pathetic ignoramus (musically speaking) who really has nothing meaningful to say.. (I’d like to point out that the few things you’ve said that aren’t from a developmental standpoint have been said in the same terms by at least 50 people before you) You’re banal, change.

then we have SHIT (you've said that word so many times that I automatically associate it with you, sorry!): dear SHIT, you cried like a baby, and I really hope you are one, your comment is as offensive as it is useless, just for a change (it's a constant with you die-hard fans of DT) you said practically nothing, a mass of smoke that dissipates, that's your comment, absolute nothing..

x the other anonymous (guys, come on, log in, damn it! It’s all a mess with all these anonymous comments! Come on! Have the courage of your actions!!): let’s start with some innovative albums released in the last 20 years (in no particular order): Fugazi - Repeater, Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation, My Bloody Valentine - Loveless, Korn - Korn, Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral, Massive Attack - Protection, Portishead - Dummy, Mogwai - Young Team, Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die, Slint - Spiderland, Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine, Primal Scream - Screamadelica, Primus - Suck on This, Helmet - Meantime. I’ve listed 14 for you, I can keep going. Is that enough to start getting to know some "innovative" music? Learn, learn...

So, let's get started: there's no need for Gilles to reply, first because he said he would stop intervening (good for him!), second because as usual he didn't really say anything at all.. Let's move on;

Dearest Attilio and Downtown, at this point you deserve a monument just for being polite.. WOW what a stream of insults.. Definitely your "colleagues" are a bit out of their minds.. But, as I already said, deep down I’m having fun, and you have no idea how many laughs I’m getting and with what joy I’m preparing to respond to statements, you’ve probably noticed it too, a bit "poor," to put it mildly, in content.. So a heartfelt hug, I’m getting quite fond of the only civil (normal?) people left in here.. ;)
