David Gilmour a "universal genius" (what the hell does that even mean)? Come on, are we joking here? Besides, Valerio simply expressed an opinion; I don't think it's appropriate to be so harsh about it... and anyway, David Gilmour as a composer really sucks. I dare you to find someone who considers him "a genius"... If we're talking about sounds, arrangements, sure, he was crucial for Floyd, but don’t come and tell me that "momentary.." and even more "division bell" are masterpieces. Especially the latter, it's pretentious, self-indulgent, pompous, and essentially trivial... Ugh...

Little sense of humor? But he made some really funny tracks. Take Lovecats, Birdmad girl, let' go to bed, Hot hot hot, wendy time, Gone, the exploding boy.. If there's an artist who has always lightened the mood, it's Robert Smith. Scaruffi, as often happens, proves he hasn't understood a damn thing..

I'm really not into Downtown, sorry; I get that the lyrics are important, but they're not essential; music comes first, considering that, until proven otherwise, that's what we're talking about; that said, if a band plays music I find interesting, then, if there's a sung part, I'm also very interested in the lyrics; but if a band's music doesn't say anything to me, a pretty set of lyrics won't change my mind.

Hi Attilio, welcome back! As I already said, you will never be able to convince me, because there’s nothing to convince me about; I have a very clear vision of what is "artistic" in the Rock realm, and the DTs are practically on the opposite side; there are no hooks, as you see, for me to change my mind, and it’s not stubbornness, it’s simply a personal opinion on what is beautiful and what is ugly, just like everyone who is interested in art, in any art form, has. Well, for me, the DTs not only definitely fall into "the ugly," but they also come very close to representing the very essence of what I consider ugly. That’s it. Why write a review? Very simply to share my perspective, which is also, fortunately, very different from those expressed until my intervention; and I say fortunately because after about ten identical reviews, at least there’s a chance to read a different take. After all, we are in a democracy, right? Point made. End of digression. To conclude, be careful! ; ) There are Hip Hop albums that rock. Listen to "Ill Communication" or "Paul's Boutique" by the Beastie Boys, or something from the early Cypress Hill, not bad. x IO: See you next time! ; )

In fact: Metal is not necessarily the "most extreme" genre. There are various punk subgenres that are just as extreme, if not more so than a lot of metal. Go listen to Snapcase or Earth Crisis for example, and then let me know.
Metal is not at all the most modern and modernizing genre; on the contrary, it often tends to be quite conservative, as many bands have been relying on the same stylistic features for 20 years.
Metal, as mentioned, is also not necessarily the most elaborate genre. Post Rock, have you ever heard of it? Check out Tortoise and then let me know, check out Mogwai or Godspeed You! Black Emperor and then let me know.
OH GUYS, get off your pedestal, broaden your horizons, you'll have a lot to gain.

No, that's your problem since no one asked or imposed on you to come here and intervene. In any case, I never said to only listen to "classic" or "soft" rock, and in fact, I listen to much more. The fact that Metal is the most elaborate genre, which is false in itself since there are very intricate albums that are not Metal at all, does not mean it is better, more creative, or more modern than the others... On the contrary.. The fact that the rest seems too simple to you, a nonsense, is a very wrong attitude that is all too common among you metal lovers, and naturally supported by a poor musical culture.

Fuck, I'm really shitting my pants; I'm famous on "metal" sites, one wants to deliver me the "golden cock-sucker" award; can you believe it... wowowowowowowowow, my reaction doesn’t change, big, huge laughs... poor fool, you’re even capable of beating someone up just because they don’t agree with you on something like music? Kid, what you really need is a serious beating, and I mean a real one...

uuuuuaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha, look at this... what laughs, buddy, big, big laughs... increasingly comical... "cynical," "cold," "insensitive," and not just that, also "smelly fatso"... but hey, great imagination. And all for what: because I spoke ill of their fucking idols, idols revered as if they were a deity and therefore, naturally, one becomes a cynical insensitive, not to mention a smelly fatso... hihihihihihihihih friend, you need some antidepressants, and a good supply too; your veneration is quite morbid, you’re lost, done for, get a grip! ;)
