Oh no, you're right, they also draw from at least 50 different groups from the English scene of the '80s. Come on!! If there’s one band that tends to simplify itself into predetermined patterns, it's Franz Ferdinand... Then again, in the end, they do have some decent ideas, I'll give you that, but don’t come telling me they have a particularly personal style because you're off track... They may have talent, but ultimately they're just another little band that jumped on the '80s revival bandwagon that's all the rage today... It almost seems like there's no choice; most new releases are either: '70s garage revival, '80s new wave revival, or both. It's so boring...
