x 47.. for you, they can easily be bullshit (and in the case of twin infinitives, for example, they are for me too :-D) ..but the point was different: the ones I've listed are revolutionary albums. Sklemby says there have been no revolutions in the last thirty years. So I posted some albums that demonstrate that the last thirty years have been FULL of revolutions. Whether they are liked or not doesn't interest me in the slightest. Besides this, if an album is a novelty, it may obviously not be subjectively pleasing, but it will very likely remain something at least worthy of note. Any criticism at any level and in any form of art, even on the news for instance, is based on issues of modernity as an essential pivot and focal point. Only the DT fan doesn't see this; maybe it's genetic :-D ..next time this discussion comes up, I'll post the manifesto of the futurists :-D

It's been thirty years since there have been any major revolutions in the music scene?? 1977: modern dance, pere ubu. 1977: marquee moon, television. 1977: are we not men we are devo, devo. 1977: Suicide, Suicide. 1978: Unknown Pleasures, Joy division. 1981: Kollaps, eisturzende neubauten. 1984: Zen Arcade, Husker Du. 1985: Nail, Foetus. 1990: Repeater, Fugazi. 1990: Twin Infinitives, Royal Trux. 1991: Spiderland, Slint. 1991: Loveless, My Bloody Valentine. 1991: Blue Lines, Massive Attack. 1994: Millions now living will never die, Tortoise. 1995: bufo alvarius, bardo pond... and I've also forgotten someone. I won’t even get into the discussion, but saying that there have been no major revolutions in the last thirty years is like saying the 20th century was not a century of significant changes, not to mention... a huge load of nonsense, really. :-)

Damn, all the reviews on the DT are too brief... it takes a lot to talk about this magical band... but this album disappointed me a bit... I'll give it only four. Which would actually be 4.5, you know.

Come on! Finally, a group that oozes personality from every pore... keep those reviews coming, by the way, they're well done and not at all verbose!!

Great review! I don't know anything about him as a solo artist, but you've piqued my curiosity.
