I haven't listened to this album, but I have a feeling it's fabulous! Great label, Rough Trade.. Excellent review, North, and great unusual choice.

Phil Collins by Genesis OBJECTIVELY kicks Portnoy's ass in four.

open parenthesis: there is an enormous difference between the verb "to listen" and the verb "to copy". Italian is not an opinion. close parenthesis.

puauauauauauauaahahahahahah You DT fans kill me. "DT made history" muahahahahah, what is this, a joke? Where do you find the courage, I ask, to say such nonsense aahahahah.. what a laugh. I won’t even argue, it’s enough to read and one can throw themselves away from the ridiculousness of the statement!
As for the banalities I may have written, you are absolutely right.. the point is that when you communicate something, you always need to adjust the tone and content to the audience. And I adapted to the DT audience.. he who has ears to hear, let him hear.. muahahahahahahah, what a hoot!

Absolutely right, Giubbo! One is really a pain in the ass, cliché and rhetorical. Stay like a ballad, it’s kicking his ass!

For me, it’s the most beautiful album by U2.. forget about Joshua Tree.. this one is more original, more "powerful," darker! I didn’t really like the review, it was too “cold” and too long-winded, but I have to admit it was thorough.

Well, I don't know (just to wrap it up).. I don't think I'm that "niche" in my listening habits.. after all, I mentioned Pearl Jam, NIN, Massive Attack, all bands that have had their good moments on TV and have sold millions of copies. I simply believe that one shouldn't be too "relativized" in their judgments; one has to look at it a bit in absolute terms; if FF remains the album of 2004, I couldn't care less, it's just because there wasn't anything better in 2004 (though, I don't know, upon closer inspection, I think you can find better stuff, anyway..), but, you know, it's not exactly an album for "rock history," that's for sure..
Queens Of The Stone Age Lullabies To Paralyze

Song for the deaf monumental, song for the deaf grand disco... well.. in recent times I've been revisiting albums by Kyuss and QOTSA and what I conclude is: Song for the deaf is a nice album, yes, but shallow. They did a bit of what the audience wanted, which they didn't do with Lullabies, which actually goes pretty against the grain of what everyone expected, and in my opinion is more beautiful.. it might have less punch, be less memorable, but it has more class, more originality, it's more interesting, no doubt about it!
