mmmm Antimo, you know you’ve made me want to listen to it again? You made me think that I underestimated it when I listened to it ten years ago.

for anonymous even higher who writes in capital letters: if I’m the group you adore, no one is stopping you from listening to them, least of all this review. But any "review" (I put it in quotes because no one here is a professional) can talk in whatever terms they want about the subject they’re addressing. In other words, if I think they suck, I’ll tear them apart as much as I want. Period : )) Hellooooo

POINT THREE) As a consequence of points one and two, the Cure have inevitably made history, especially since they have been around for 25 years. The Muse, at most, now get a feature as just another "band of the month" in NME or Rolling Stone (the Italian one, of course), meaning they haven't done anything noteworthy. So, in conclusion, MAXIMUM RESPECT for the Cure, and please, don’t bother with any more ridiculous comparisons ; )

POINT TWO) The Cure were among the pioneers of Dark and, more generally, of the entire English New Wave, of which, you'll agree, they were essentially the leading group, managing, thanks to the eclecticism mentioned above, to be among the few survivors. What genre/movement did Muse invent/innovate?? But of course, none. They simply rummaged through a bit of this and a bit of that from the '90s alternative scene, and I’ll admit they added a minimal personal twist (but really minimal, by the second album they weren’t surprising anyone anymore), and everyone was happy and content. Everyone except those who saw nothing new in Muse, but only a sequence of hidden citations/plagiarisms that this trio of incapable musicians could manage (i.e., poorly).

On the contrary, since I'm having fun, I'll go into more detail: POINT ONE) The Cure are immensely more original, eclectic, varied, and therefore creative, than the trio of clowns mentioned above; in fact, there isn't a single album by The Cure that is the same as another, while these three idiots have not managed to evolve even a little across three albums. Actually, they have: now they are definitely more accessible to any minimally trained ear; I mean they are more commercial.

hahahahaha what hearty laughs.. for your information, anonymous above, I was born in 1980. Which means I grew up (musically and otherwise) in the '90s. Therefore, my main musical references are certainly not from the '80s, but are Seattle, Indie, Trip hop, Post (everything post, the more the merrier ahahah), Crossover, etc etc etc .. with that, I won't dwell on the fact that the Cure are IMMENSELY greater than anything this trio of pretentious misfits could ever hope to be.

Blackmore: "I don't comment on those who can't play".. are you crazy?? this way you miss out on most of the TRUE great musicians in rock history: Syd Barrett, Lou Reed and Maureen Tucker, the Ramones, Sonic Youth, Black Francis, Kevin Shields, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Pavement.. aaahh poor you! : )))
