Tortoise Millions Now Living Will Never Die

beautiful.. but after listening to Slint, Tortoise seemed less essential than I thought (and than they made me believe).. but wasn’t this album from '94?

Anonymous, to be honest, I'm really sorry not to know who you are... it was still a very interesting discussion with you. I apologize if I was at times arrogant (not too much, anyway, don't take any steps back :D). bye

nicoraba, dear little spoiled one, you haven't understood a damn thing :-) I enjoy teasing inept people like you so much that they are so struck by my statements that they react with little offended comments like an idiotic child (because they probably wouldn’t know how to react otherwise).. oh my, you don't really give me much satisfaction, I feel a bit sorry for you, I pity you... but it is what it is, if you particularly enjoy being humiliated, I'll proceed as scripted... :-)) best regards, now go to bed.

Your considering music a discipline doesn’t exclude my considering it a means nonetheless. In this case, we are just looking at the issue from different points of view. Nothing more to add.

Moreover, your provocative little example above is certainly not an example of originality, but rather of pointless provocation; originality by definition always presupposes a standard of reference, yours is simply an example of forced "abstaining" from conventions.

What would your bold statement about Rolling Stone indicate? A fair amount of envy? Alright, I'll refrain from listing the other places I've played :D ...to respond to your second post, you missed a small detail (logically): did I ever say that originality is the ONLY criterion? No. I did, however, say that originality is the most important criterion and above all the NECESSARY condition to make great music. But I never said it's the only one.

The fact remains that at the moment I presented examples that logically countered your statements, you avoided the discussion; you even responded sarcastically, your current reaction is therefore completely out of focus, as well as arrogant. That's why I laughed in your face and I continue to do so as I please, since you’re proving to be just as arrogant as I am. Moreover, you come to preach to me and pass judgment without even credentialing yourself, showing a complete lack of style, which makes me want to ask you: who the hell are you to judge?

oh, look who's here, even Jack Frusciante... haven’t you thrown a party with that shitty music you’ve released lately?? Ah, in fact maybe your references are quite different, like By the Way by the RHCP, along with the magnificence of the DT?? What a lucky guy, huh... you’re doing pretty well, too.. ahahahah : D have a party, go... ahahah

Sure, it's a job.. nobody knows it, but the Dwarves pay me for this... I attract people like flies.. especially post-prog ultra-technical metalheads... for whom I'm now more sought after than Bin Laden is for Americans...
