Perfect, if I had heard it, I would have written it like you did, probably... (but probably a bit worse :D)

Well, Alex, if you consider the eighty tempo changes, the 40 solos, etc., it’s obvious that they are not "4 chords," and yet, let's look at the substance; it’s not a big effort : ) ... it’s the way the DT use melodies that is clearly academic, lacking personality, lacking style... do they have even minimally distinctive sounds? No. Then do they have even minimally distinctive structures? Not at all... theirs is a NON-structuring par excellence... and I hope you don’t have the audacity to say that the various digressions are more than self-referentiality from a Boston schoolboy... There’s no desecration, no innovation, there’s nothing... The REM (which, again, I repeat, was an example among millions) in their own way, with their "4 chords" pieces, are enormously more recognizable, that is, more personal, more stylish, than DT, whose only recognizable term lies in not being recognized for the songs, but for the technical strategy... useless.

I think so, it always has the same beat... but maybe it doesn't know how to play, and that's why it always keeps the same rhythm!

Thank you, Zuckina. I really have nothing else to add, except to emphasize, as I hinted in my previous comment, that the citation itself (which is also present) is not what matters; rather, it’s the fact that, at its core, the DTs are merely an amalgamation of things that are already overly familiar... there isn’t a set of agreements that isn’t at least rhetorical, terribly useless, pathetic, and insipid. There isn’t a vocal line that doesn’t follow the same logic (in the ballads, the guy from The Calling could sing it, given how banal La Brie’s approach is, even if it’s more technical)... the guitar lacks backbone, there’s nothing that truly characterizes it in a meaningful way.. the rest is even more anonymous.. it’s not so much a matter of obvious pseudo-plagiarisms, but rather a question of a real lack of style.

they don't resemble us because they are much better... that said, the DT drop sequences of quotes that even the Oasis would envy... and they have the bad taste to often reference the most kitschy rock, because, it's well known, as usual they have to make it clear that they are the best in the world at playing (which is obviously false)

For me, "Siamese Dream" as a whole is better than "Mellon Collie," which often sounds a bit self-serving and pretentious, even though some moments are truly sublime, as Zion said... And yet the beauty of Mellon Collie lies in its epic nature; for me, it's a record of a generation as much as, if not more than, Nevermind... just read the lyrics, spine-tingling... maybe Corgan was smarter than he was skilled, but in any case, he defined an era... anyway, I also agree with Antimo: Pisces Iscariot is BEAUTIFUL, the SP have some incredible B-sides.
