Well, between him and BJ, almost better him.. BJ looks like an android, he's had too much lifting.

Yes, I too have read more than one article that described Galaxie 500 as the "My Bloody Valentine of America"... but instead of reading articles, it's enough to listen: if they have nothing to do with it, they have nothing to do with it, there's little to be done ; ) .. furthermore, it's quite imprecise to say that Shoegazer isn't a real "genre"... the musical traits in common are quite a few.. the way of interpreting the potential of the guitar is common to both Jesus and Mary Chain, as well as the various Loop, Ride, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, and from this point of view, Spacemen 3 represent an exception (even less so Spiritualized)..

Yes, I understand, but in fact Metallaro buono is not entirely wrong. They say they make beautiful songs, they have their own identity, etc., etc. Okay, thanks, so? These are things that could be said about anyone in any situation; if you like them, it's obvious you'll think that way. I need something more: why? Why should they have their own identity and make beautiful songs when it seems the opposite to me? I don't understand your point of view because it's not a reasoned perspective. Give me reasons and maybe I'll respect your (for now) unconvincing theory. 😉

You can disregard it as much as you want, but that doesn't mean you can sell it to me as a masterpiece; that's a very different conversation ;) ..welcome back guys, a big kiss Janis! :)

To me, they seem parallel to Shoegazer, with very little in common. The only thing is that Galaxie 500 also does psychedelia, but it's such a broad term that it can mean everything and nothing. For the rest, the approach is completely different, even if the predecessors (see Velvet Underground) are partially shared.

I, as I already said, am discovering them only now... and however, since every time I listen to "prisoners of love" I like it more and more, and since I want to download all their albums starting from this one, I want to immediately give it a 5. Take that. And I liked the review a lot too. Take that again. Too bad they don't seem to be very appreciated by the debasers.

this collection is absolutely stunning.. I only had Summer Sun, but after hearing this my admiration for them has definitely increased. The writing quality of the pieces is simply stellar. There's not a single one that isn't beautiful.
