Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory

Lux, I’m not claiming that; I’m simply demonstrating how ridiculous it is to post 20 sites with euphorically enthusiastic reviews about Ayreon in an attempt to make my opinion seem utterly irrelevant. Simply put, Fabio hasn’t proven anything; a good part of his links, when they aren’t amateurish, consist of reviews that, besides reiterating the same four concepts, also repeat absolutely outdated ideas. Stuff that here on Debaser you’d give a 1, eheheh :-D

but it means nothing the dedication of the participants... how can one judge a record based on such a consideration? :-D it's simply ridiculous... as if it weren't reasonable to assume that most records produced have participants who are dedicated to what they do... come on... but then it's ridiculous in itself: what changes in the quality of the record if there is dedication? So a group of no-gooders who don't have "dedication" to what they do wouldn't be capable of composing a great record... so for example, most punk bands don't make great records because they might record live and suck at playing, and don't spend a year in the studio just for mixing... what a load of rubbish... come on, come on.

Why is Lux, the substance of these other comments, different? Ah well, read this :-D "On the musical front, we are always faced with that blend of prog-rock, hard/heavy, folk moments, and symphonic influences that Arjen started to forge back during 'The Final Experiment'; one could say that there are no substantial novelties, but the quality level of this blend is here at its highest expression. The vocal intertwining is one of the main strengths of the album; it is exhilarating to hear the wild throat of Townsend roaring beneath the clean voices, not to mention the class of Åkerfeldt, the solemn and majestic voice of Eric Clayton... it's a sin to mention only a few! However, allow me a special mention for the performance of James LaBrie, who delivers a deadly performance."

Too much is still to be told, and too much still to praise. We are faced with a masterpiece, it is useless to deny it. All the characteristics are there, as is the commitment and dedication. The artists involved deliver an outstanding performance, each giving their best, and Lucassen once again proves to be a composer of great taste and innovation, bringing his best work ever to the listeners. Buy it with your eyes closed, you will be captivated. "aahhhh, this is another wonderful example of deep analysis too.. therefore the dedication of the participants is another fundamental characteristic for evaluating an album."

Oh this, enlightening :-D "But after two weeks of listening, putting it away for a week (did another review) and listening again for a couple of days, I cannot find anything wrong with it: this is a perfect 10. Pretty clear to me."

"I am gushing with exuberance and energy after hearing this incredible display of musical virtuosity" ..or maybe it’s about capturing the essence of an album :-D

This is the best Ayreon album and that's no mean feat considering the wealth of quality material that has been done previously. 'The Human Equation' scores by having a seamless theme throughout and musical arrangements that would shame most West End or Broadway musicals. Quite simply - buy! If you're thinking about it, NO! He's not a metalhead!" aaahhh I see, maybe this is what Fabio means by "Deep Review" :-D (his post)

But did you read the sentences I posted or not? Where do you think they come from? If you want, I can keep posting others from the latest links of the relentless Fabio.. :-D I still don't understand what's worth noting in claiming that an album is beautiful for its arrangements and for the beautiful voice. SO my definition of superficiality has a reason. Or maybe you would like to have the wisdom to give me a sense of why an album should be considered beautiful based on the completeness of the arrangements and the beauty of the vocalists..

But I've already said it, just read the sentences :-) and I've already explained it thoroughly to Lux, re-read the posts.
