hahahaha :-D what if someone dismantles me? word of mouth, keep overestimating yourself instead of not.. what have you dismantled? but in your childish delusions, you haven't wasted a word on music. what do you want to dismantle? What are you rambling about? I repeat, it's all written down, you're not fooling anyone like this, you know :-) .. "you want to seem tough with those swear words"??!! How do you talk? How old are you? :-D I don’t want to seem anything, haven’t you figured that out yet? I just want to dismantle your presumptuous ridiculous arrogance that you flaunt by coming here to say nonsense without even authenticating yourself, because that really irritates me. When you finally decide to take the big step of your authentication, maybe I’ll start giving you a bit of credit (and use terms a tad more respectful). Until then, I can only treat you like a fool; as I've already said, the responsibility is all yours, you asked for it :-)

I don't know, let's listen to them.. Everclear weren't exactly this great band, but you definitely presented them quite well.

Word of mouth, you still have an unprecedented face like a butt :-D I haven't offended anyone; rather, I've responded to insults. It's all written above, who do you think you’re fooling, fool? ;-) Obviously (and fortunately) you know little about my life. In any case, I also have a group where I make my own music and I'm fine like that..

I don't know, if you’re referring to the DT, I’ve more or less listened to everything (except for the last two, which don't seem to be the most significant according to the fans either). Thank you so much for the wishes! :-D

As for Yes, whom I admit I know less about, their trajectory seems honestly less significant to me. Their merit is essentially equivalent to only a part of that of King Crimson: that is to say, they succeeded in blending various musical genres with the intent of "refounding" a cultured (and evolved from psychedelia) rock that at the same time synthesized to create a quiet and fascinating evocation of that same "escape," which in more or less broad terms is one of the fundamental characteristics of rock imbued with great ideals or ideas from the '60s. Rush, for me, are even less significant; however, they deserve credit for having a powerful intuition: by combining hard rock coordinates with progressive elements, they effectively completed, as well as extremized and renewed, the path that was begun with King Crimson, Yes, and Genesis: that is, the aim of "intellectualizing" rock, making it a musical genre no less worthy and elitist than other types of music, while extremizing its formal canons. Although historically I consider this to have been a failed endeavor, they must be acknowledged for having had a remarkable insight.

So, when it comes to King Crimson and Yes, a contextualization is essential: both emerged during the decline of psychedelia and represented an innovation/evolution of it. In short, King Crimson, especially, are revolutionaries, if we limit ourselves purely to music. Beyond that, King Crimson also represents one of the peaks of Progressive itself, at least regarding their debut (the only truly valuable album of their early period for me): what they transform from psychedelia as music for the mind is essentially the theme of escape (a term to be understood in a very "broad" sense). In other words, a music that expands mental horizons to broaden existential ones and evade, or attempt to change, a reality that feels constricting. But this theme of escape in King Crimson takes on different connotations, as the music comes to represent the object of alienation, not the process of that alienation as it was in psychedelia. The evocation of distant worlds, of characters, objects, colors, forms that are elsewhere and different. At the same time, King Crimson also represents the darker and more morbid side of this "other," as well exemplified by the opening of their debut, "21st Century Schizoid Man." Theirs is a paranoid escape, bordering on madness, and indeed the "world" that follows and is represented by the music is an ambiguous one, evocative but not well-defined, fascinating yet dark. For me, this is the essence and meaning of their music.

lux, but I was the first to say that a fusion of styles, if truly such, can give rise to a new substance. However, for a long time we have discussed the fact that I see no real fusion in DT. In any case, talking about substance is exactly the same as talking about sense and meaning, which I have never said must necessarily be "social," but by necessity they still refer to a culture; aside from this, meaning can still be metaphysical, or transcend existentiality and thus the social dimension. Despite this, neither I (who really can't see any substance in it) nor a highly qualified critic like Scaruffi can describe a sense in DT's music.

Am I not laughing anymore? I used this emoji in my last post referring to you, passaparola: ":-D" ..more or less it means "laughter" ..do you really think that someone like you can make me truly angry and take away my smile? eheheheh, you overestimate yourself, don’t you, boy ;-) ..oh, by the way, I notice you continue to flaunt a really remarkable smug face.. I started off strong with the insults... and tell me, who was it that kicked things off with a post like this? "I think it takes strength of character to justify for years one's petty resentments against a group that, for better or worse, has done something decent from time to time...." you know how they say, what goes around comes around. Now you're getting the insults, passaparola, the responsibility is all yours :-)

passaparola, I hoped you would have the foresight and good taste to stop, but instead you keep rambling nonsense: is it possible that this review burns you so much? Is it possible that you have to waste so much time slandering me anonymously, even going so far as to continue this ridiculous and humiliating discussion for you beyond a single post? :-D And thank goodness it’s me who’s supposed to be the spiteful one; pretty poor in terms of objectivity, huh passaparola? You’re sad, kid, very sad, and I never said that those who don’t authenticate cannot talk about mediocrity, you fool; I said that you accuse me of being mediocre at the moment when you don’t even have the courage to speak to me as an authenticated user. THIS is mediocre, THAT'S why you are the very essence of mediocrity. Think about it, come on, before you spit out more empty nonsense ;-)

But the sentence you quoted, lux, fully confirms what I'm talking about: it made only a generic statement, it simply defined a distillation fusion as an "excellent example," it spoke only of form, not of the sense or meaning that this form assumes.
