Fugazi Red Medicine

Damn, the Jesus Lizard to Fugazi wouldn’t even kiss their feet, if we really want to compare.. in my opinion, of course.

haha Thank you very much Umoris! Yes, I was thinking of rewriting over it.. I'm glad you took something from it :-)

I agree! However, I have the strong impression that after such an album one can only dry up..maybe I’m exaggerating, sure, but the fact that there are only three of them left doesn’t bode very well either.

If anything, it’s the English magazines that misinform. I also took issue with them in my review because they invented the trend "neo or post shoegaze" or whatever it is (which obviously makes no sense). :-)
P.S. In a review of their new (third) album, I read that the critic was criticizing the voice identical to Thom Yorke and that they were a second-wave post-Radiohead band. In short, you can choose your reference plagiarism; the substance doesn’t seem to change to me.

Big Black Songs About Fucking

I'm relistening to it these days... I've recently rediscovered Albini and I'm only now realizing how much I adore him! This album is absolutely a five, just like Atomizer. Big Black is an incredible band, and in my opinion, Shellac hasn't reached this fierce expressiveness.

uuh how long has it been since I commented.. I don’t understand why there’s so much fuss about a group of living dead who finished saying what they had to say (if they ever had anything to say) back in '69.. do we really want to give them credit? alright, let's get to '71. anyway, yes, I also find Pere Ubu infinitely more interesting.
Jennifer Gentle Funny Creatures Lane

yes, you're right, unfortunately there is no such "scene," since every group is minding their own business, musically speaking, and there are no longer genres or movements, thus scenes. however, there are also a myriad of groups that were unthinkable just ten years ago.
Interpol Turn on the Bright Lights

It’s true. In fact, it isn’t an easy division, and it’s often done for convenience. Indeed, it seems to me that there’s a lot of inconsistent stuff, that is, rather lacking in meaning.
