The Smiths Strangeways, Here We Come
Voto:
That the Smiths had come to an end is something I agree with, but this album certainly doesn’t prove it; I don’t see this big artistic difference compared to their earlier albums, especially since The Queen Is Dead—perhaps with the first ones there’s a difference. Anyway, as much as this may be their worst album, it is still far superior to a lot of stuff that came out both at that time and, above all, later. And I agree with many comments that say this album is full of beautiful songs!!!!!! P.S. In my opinion, major labels should disappear from the face of the earth.

Surely the best album by Suede, and one of the best Brit-made works of the 90s!

Having known each other for just a few days, I agree with everything you wrote; a concise review that gets straight to the point, well done! If they were all like this, I wouldn't buy any more music magazines!!

Among the three (I think) this review is the best done, and the most truthful. Congratulations.

Yes, they can also be added to the list, even though I have always been their admirer!!!

They were truly unique at that time, not to mention the posthumous project "Beautiful South", not to mention Fatboy Slim. What can I say, perhaps it was better this way, two, three years and done; many legendary bands have proven this (Bauhaus, Smiths, etc.). It's always better to have a little and do it well than a lot that just annoys you, see (.....) better if I don't write anything!!!!!

I wanted to go too, but then I changed my mind. The album isn't bad, but they're too much like the Interpol, who in turn take a bit from Joy Division. Nothing wrong with that, mind you, but every now and then something new is needed. We'll see if they last or if they'll blow up!!!

Well, I have to compliment you on the review; I got emotional just like that April morning when I was on my way to work and heard the tragic news on the radio. I cried out of anger and realized that with their departure, I would never again be able to hear any new masterpieces from him. I cried because I missed that concert, and I would never have the chance to see them live again! At that time, Nirvana had become way too big!!!!!!!!!
Depeche Mode Some Great Reward

An album worthy of a 5 and praise, in my opinion the quintessence of DM, or the early DM, who I believe were even greater than the later DM (from Violator onwards). This album is part of that little bit of beautiful stuff from the eighties that was hardly acknowledged by the media of the time, but was of excellent quality. It’s easy to make DM great after Violator!!! Anyway, great review.
