x THE NOW LOYAL AND POWERFUL CRONOS: the immolation hits hard. The latest work is stunning, as is "failures for god." Less exciting is "Close to a world below." I would define them as Brutal without fear: absent thrash influences, fast rhythms, tight and complicated riffing, and songwriting as dark as pitch leave no doubts. Maybe you perceive it more as death, but it really lacks the attitude.

for ANIEL: I have many of them original, the most unknown ones no, here in Italy they can't be found and not even in mail orders. for VIVIS...gifts, my dear faithful: if you need advice regarding this genre (specifically about unknown groups and albums) feel free to reach out to me or to the trusty Cronos, who also has a good knowledge in this area. Until the next review.

So, Sergio, long live the Cassation!!!! Sorry for the indiscretion, Sfascia, but which Death CDs do you like (aside from the Napalm)? Out of all the albums I've reviewed, many of which are universally recognized as masterpieces, you don’t appreciate a single one. Are you perhaps abusing the de gustibus card? A veteran metalhead like you should agree that albums like "Effigy" are a gem!

What a poor guy! Anyway, Chronos, I know them very well, but I've always listened to them superficially...

So get yourself some Entombed, they play raw death, you should like them. I also recommend Autopsy, Accidental Suicide, Obituary, Malevolent Creation, Celtic Frost, and Asphyx.

Luca, I completely agree with you on this: at least one Cannibal text must be read, it's an experience. I recommend "Fucked with a Knife," but "I Cum Blood" is good too. Of course, if someone is a fan of B-movie horror films, Cannibal is their bread and butter!

cliff, absolutely right. objective review: you deserve a monument. You managed to point out the limits of this album without detracting from it too much. As far as I'm concerned, I only started to understand the criticisms aimed at "load" after about 6 years of listening to it. It was the record that opened the world of metal to me, and for that, I will always be thankful. w load, even if it's just hard rock.

Good job, angelofmetal, I was also referring to the booklet of Blessed... Anyway, Kronos, the first three are seminal albums that I could compare to this record: very monotonous but undeniably historic. Aniel, do you like stuff like Entombed, early Death, etc.?

nuclear...do we want to talk about Formulas Fatal to the Flesh (FFF=666)??? Since after Domination, Morbid Angel has become a joke.

so so: the musical judgment is 3, but it's an absolutely important CD. I gave a 5 for their ideas and intuition, but musically it’s just adequate. Geppetto/Sergio for real... I give them a 5 because they invented a genre, because the songs are damn violent, and if I had been a 15-year-old in 1990, maybe I would have fallen in love with it. The thing is we are in 2006 and times have changed. I thank Aniel: why don't you like the genre? What do you listen to?
