Allow me to say that this debate seems a bit pointless: I don’t share the opinions about the war either, and honestly, I couldn't care less about these atmospheres filled with battles and similar nonsense. But it’s always about music, after all; I don’t believe our fallen will paint his face, put on a bandana, and go on a rampage against Iraqis with an M60. So let’s not demonize him... maybe you too, after listening to "Black Metal" by Venom or "Melissa" by Mercyful Fate, have said some bullshit about Satanism, and for that, you don’t deserve prison. Then it’s clear that if someone feels attacked from multiple sides, they look for foundations in philosophy for what they’ve said; in short, they try to lend dignity to their discourse. So no to the pillory for the fallen.

Look, your review is very nice; I think you've captured the essence of the album: "tough" music without too many pretensions, but well-crafted. Maybe you’re a bit too enthusiastic and end up giving everything a somewhat subjective slant. Good job anyway.

It seems to me that this review is a bit exaggerated: it's true that hearing Sunn o))) for the first time is somewhat impactful, but the astonishment turns into boredom within the first 15 minutes (which is the duration of one song). Innovative as you want, extreme as you want, but (holy crap) how boring they are! They're good only for studying Hegel!

Thank you very much, Aniel; I believe that on issues like these, one cannot joke, especially because there are those who have gone through similar experiences and might feel discomfort seeing it turned into a trend. Good album, though, even if the artist is questionable. In contrast, sincere and straightforward people are our own Beatrik, dedicated to the same genre but much less clownish.

Great... I quite like this album even though "forest..." is unmatched.

Personally, I prefer the second period; here, they don't seem like neither meat nor fish.

very very very good...nice review, even though the genre doesn't appeal to me (only depressive black)

Dear Luca, I wouldn't really know if it's just a jest... since Fisher arrived, the voice is okay, but before, they used to enjoy acting like crazy people and murder maniacs... Compare them with the carcass from the early days, those were real jokes, much more blatant and less hidden. The cannibals place themselves there, balancing between serious and playful... anyway, fjeltronen, your opinion is highly respectable; I won't deny that even I, if I listen to a slightly more melodic Death-Black for a while, then find it hard to get back used to less profound assaults even if they are more violent. It's a matter of taste; it's like drinking sambuca or whisky... both have forty degrees, but one is sweet and the other is not...

I like this one a little less... however, you always manage to convey the idea... the album is good too.
