necro....ah, they don't invent anything new? Do you know when Forest of the Dreaming Dead was released? Do you know when the other early melodic death albums came out?
Meshuggah Nothing
Voto:
So, so. One of the weakest albums by Meshuggah: the formula is the same as Chaosphere, only the guitars are tuned to G and are slower. Great technique but few ideas, the last sufficient effort from the great Swedes. The best remains undeniably Destroy Erase Improve. The review is fair.

to listen to but for the rest it’s shit

well well and then well... alongside brilliant ideas we find a lot of boredom and predictability, melodies pulled by the hair, a wrong use of keyboards. for me it’s 3, like "When all the laughter has gone"

And anyway, I would like to remind you that Abbath, Demonaz, and the other one are not metaphysical beings; they are human (with or without corpse paint). They are guys who enter a studio (with or without corpse paint) to compose and record albums. What they bring to life with their notes is music, not a transcendent entity... in short, we risk ending up like those who go crazy over role-playing games! What they talk about is NOT REAL, it's music.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope

Great review, ironic and effective. The band is, in a few words, another version of Pig Destroyer, although I prefer the latter. Great album anyway, I can't say the same for the band which, apart from this, doesn't seem to have produced many masterpieces.

one of my first CDs, bought by my generous mom when I was 7 years old, enchanted by the title track I heard live on the radio...I may be biased but for me it’s a 4

I feel satisfied when I sense that there’s nothing left to end because everything is already over... it gives me security, it seems to me that nothing is precarious but that everything is certain and unequivocal... extreme metal transmits these feelings to me and I feel fulfilled... I don’t need to hear the samba or some Latin American dance to say “today the sun is shining and life is beautiful,” at least until the sun gives way to the night and I can’t rely on it.

seen live, great performance but the genre sucks for me
