And then there's one thing to say, the most important in my opinion: BURTON was free to do whatever the hell he wanted with the bass (a rare thing for thrash bands at the time; good luck finding bassists like Cliff), NEWSTED was a puppet. The only thing he did on his own is the power-chord of My Friend of Misery. Newsted was always the one who never really mattered.
