IRON MAIDEN? Do they ring a bell??
I’m not asking you to consider Cradle and Murderdolls (I certainly didn’t travel 1000km for them), but even Lacuna Coil is "someone"!!!!
To Dounzhancer: honestly, I had a ticket for all 3 days... but Bon Jovi, absolutely NO!!!! That evening I went to TRANSILVANIA in Bologna... ANYWAY, I KNOW HE PLAYED HIS MOST FAMOUS SONGS. He started with a cover of Pearl Jam's "Rocking in the Freedom" (live filaforum milano cd2 track 14), and the best song was "Wanted Dead or Alive".... I don’t know what else to say...

I was disappointed with the organization of the Heineken, the lack of water on the 15th (we felt like animals!!!) and the cops stornzi!!!
What a great festival, no doubt about it!!!
Now I'm listening to "ST:anger" by Metallica and I'll review it for you soon!!!

IRON MAIDEN: I made it right under the stage, but after the first two songs (the number of the beast and the trooper) I moved a few meters back due to "pressure" against a barrier! The scenery was stunning in true Iron Maiden style! Every song changed the upper background... the upper platform for BRUCE's jumps... Eddie came out (dressed like in the latest the best)... Absolutely amazing... a bunch of party animals! They turned the Heineken arena into a "RISING Hell"... Dickinson responded to the "shitty" bands like this: "I love all genres of metal... I respect other genres... but I don’t dare insult other people’s music... only MAIDEN music I can insult! I always recommend thinking "free"...!!! The performances of "fear of the dark" were stunning (after which Nicko McBrain threw his drumsticks... and one was caught by the............... AUTHOR!!!!!!! I TOOK IT HOME LIKE A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TROPHY! IT'S INCREDIBLE!) Revelations, Iron Maiden, Brave New World, and Run to the Hills! These songs, compared to the others that were always spectacular, conveyed an extra emotion! Dickinson was extremely engaging... he looked like an ultra leader! Big props to the three guitarists and Steve and Nicko! It was amazing when Steve was blasting us with his Fender ! Like with Metallica, those who weren’t there missed something unheard of! Rating 5/5++++++

MURDELDOLLS AND CRADLE OF FILTH: I'm reviewing these 2 shitty bands together but in 2 different spheres... musically, I liked Murdeldolls 3/5 and Cradle 4/5... but these fucking possessed heads can't be allowed to come here to Italy in Imola (even though for the Cradle singer, that little gnome, we were in Bologna!!) and insult Lacuna Coil and the......IRON MAIDEN!!!! I mean, do you realize???????? They told these 2 bands to fuck off, saying that the only 2 "today" bands playing good music were both of them!!! telling Lacuna and Dickin on & co. to fuck off!!! they shouldn’t be allowed to come here in Italy anymore!!! We started throwing various objects (bottles, water balloons, bags of water) on stage while these SHITS were performing, to express our judgment... screaming at the top of our lungs: MAIDEN!!!!!! MAIDEN!!!!!!! They only pleased their most hardcore fans..... rating 0-------------------/5

JUNE 15:
VISION DIVINE: I heard the last track... and I liked it... from how the audience applauded, it seems they liked it too. Rating 3/5
LACUNA COIL: Great!!! Italian pride... really good... I didn’t know their songs but I liked them a lot... they looked great on stage when all 5 of them (2 singers, 2 guitarists, and 1 bassist) were headbanging simultaneously!! Rating 4/5

METALLICA: guys, the Met are my idols... it’s my first concert, but I swear now that I'm home and listening to "battery" again, I get chills.. they were perfect, powerful, engaging, magnificent... the old Metallica are back... a concert like this hasn't been seen in years... I was 20 meters away from them and it was a spectacle to watch them... the bassist was amazing with his technique of playing on his knees... Kirk Hammett was impressive with his solos.. Lars a monster as always.. incredibly engaging!!.. James sang and played with an inner rage like few do.. his performance was sublime! It was fun sometimes when they got us involved (like when James and Lars joked about the beat at the beginning of a song... James: 5!! Lars: 4!!... and they told each other to f**k off!!) or when Kirk Hammett took Lars’s stick and started the initial arpeggio of NOTHING ELSE MATTERS! Stunning.. guys, those who weren't there missed the TRUE METALLICA!!! rating 5/5++++++++++ a wonderful concert!!!!!!

STONE SOUR AND FLINT: I was too far away, and it was too hot so I didn't hear much... I hated Stone Sour's voice!!!
PLACEBO: I jumped into the mix with Placebo to prepare for Metallica... they were really good, a bit full of themselves (at one point the singer played the opening riff of "Master of Puppets," driving their fans crazy)... it’s not really their thing to play that song!! Anyway, I liked them... I knew 2 or 3 songs... but overall they were listenable... rating 3/5.

I went on the 13th and the 15th (Bon Jovi wasn't really the case... especially because of the heat)... I’m helping Rivo... here are MY reviews of these 2 days.....
JUNE 13:
PUNKREAS: I arrived late and saw the last 3 songs... very engaging... there weren’t many people yet because it was unbearable (40 degrees in the shade!!!!!!) due to the heat. There were also some political references (Communist) rating 4/5
