Indeed, dear hyperrzoid, we are complaining about this... Kirk Hammett stated in an interview that the solos are absent in St. Anger because the album was created spontaneously... as they explain it, after a difficult moment in their career, they returned to the studio, picked up their instruments, and started playing with all the anger they had inside... the album wasn’t even rearranged... it’s a raw album.. that’s why there are no solos.. they didn’t want to revisit the songs to include them! Anyway, I feel really sorry about the solos.. I’m also a bit disappointed, but we have to admit that there are Metal riffs, drum parts, and a lot of anger in expressing this music... which in my opinion is fundamental in Metal.

Metallica's Master of Puppets, yes... but in the end, these Tool are good, but if we were to rank who has more creativity among bands out there... they could be around fourth or fifth... even technically.

At least when I give my opinion or offend someone, they know who to get upset with... and if you want to know who I am, my biography is on the site... anonymous...

point number 1 take off the anonymous if you want to talk about freedom of opinion...don’t hide...point 2 I’m not at all acting as a defense attorney.....but expressing my freedom of speech and opinion on a guy who talks talks and talks...without even knowing what he's saying :-) dear anonymous...

Master of Puppets is also a very long song, just like Seek and Destroy... Creeping Death... Harvester of Sorrow... Anything to say about these songs??? If you listen to the album carefully, you'll notice these changes that seem to say: "Damn, here comes the solo!!!"... (and it doesn't come)... another change makes you think: "NOW IT’S REALLY COMING" (not this time either)... another change and you don’t hear a damn thing and you’re left wondering: "Is Kirk Hammett dead???"... this is the flaw of the album, not its length.

To understand what kind of person the great Chuck was, you should watch some videos. All death or black metal singers pour their souls into their "evil" vocals and dig deep within themselves... whereas Schuldiner, when he sang and played, had the calmness of Morandi at Sanremo... like the guy didn't give a damn!!!! The first time I saw him in a music video, I thought, "now this guy is going to sing Acqua azzura Acqua chiara"... after 4 minutes, I had witnessed an unheard-of spectacle... a hellish voice playing electric guitar with razor-sharp riffs and heartbreaking solos... a true legend!!

In "St. Anger," Metallica has effectively composed very "substantial" tracks... the - long lasts 5 minutes and something.. but I don't think that's a negative thing!!!!........... and then there’s a succession of riffs and snare hits that keeps the attention alive throughout all the tracks.

Anonymous, instead of thanking someone for going to Imola to review all that amazing stuff of bands and singers, you’re just being an ass??? The first two days were well reviewed by Rivo.. period!
