I prefer Max Gazzè to Niccolò Fabi...

It is not considered on par with the others because it is not an album of new material, but rather a "compilation" of singles from early 1967. In fact, it contains the most famous 45 rpm of all time, "Strawberry Fields/Penny Lane."

Often the groups or singer-songwriters who are not constantly in the spotlight are, for me, the best... they operate "behind the scenes" and surprise us!

ptr: I don't want to create idols (even if they are lacking here in Italy!), I just want to say that unlike certain past and present singers in our country, he is one of those who belongs to the ranks of Guccini, De Andrè, De Gregori, and why not, Venditti... all original singer-songwriters who have truly managed to speak their minds through their songs. Then, as senior86 says, Fortis has collaborated with many prominent foreign musicians... to think he even collaborated with David Bowie's band!

Ah! I almost forgot, "Magical Mystery Tour" is a collection of singles starting from 1967 with the addition of the songs from the movie's soundtrack.

to sylvian1982: it is not often mentioned in the discography (you mean English?) precisely because it is an album released (at least in the '60s) only in America.

I appreciate your review because you know how to write them. So far you’ve written two, and as a "debut," it's not bad! I, on the other hand, didn't have a "debut" like yours... my first two reviews were "Emerson, Lake & Palmer" and "Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Tarkus," and they were really terrible! By the way, do you know Emerson, Lake & Palmer? Do you like them?

A review that lives up to expectations... but I notice that there’s a slight reference to "Strawberry Fields"! You should have talked about it a bit more... and then you also made (perhaps unintentionally... or maybe not) a tribute to George Harrison, who tomorrow would have turned 63 years old!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!!! P.S. my rating is a 4.5!

But can you pair a qualified artist like Fortis with an imbecile like Di Cataldo? With Di Cataldo, Pausini, Nek, and Antonacci fit just fine, but certainly not Fortis!

While reading the names, one must ask oneself, "do they really need it?" Just look at the careers that Fortis and Califano have behind them!
