mmmm, I completely agree with el guevo on the critique of the soundtrack, which he defined as banal. It’s skeletal music, piercing, tending to evoke the icy wind of the prairie and the ghosts of the West. An inner journey in search of the lost frontier, and perhaps of the very roots of cinema. A solitary and infinite psychedelia like the vast American spaces. You may like it or not (I personally find it the latest masterpiece of the Canadian), but it is certainly functional to the film. In fact, it was already a perfect film on its own.

Thanks to all the attendees: @zeroincodotta. It is worth noting that Dennis Hopper himself claimed to have been inspired by Risi's film (which, by the way, was released in America under the title "Easylife"). I think it can be considered the archetype of road movies (albeit sui generis and unaware: the adventure is born from chance), and thus also of "Easy Rider." It seems evident to me that traveling is synonymous with existential condition in this film, and the landscape serves as a backdrop for life in this sense. The journey in "Il sorpasso" shapes itself as a metaphor for the search for identity by "characters in search of an author," participants or victims of the social changes in the country where the story takes place. The hint towards "Easy Rider" seems obvious to me, all of it, of course, readjusted to the unique American momentum of the late 60s. That's how I see it. Bye!

It's a shame that no debaserian, perhaps focused on tackling pseudo-Kubrickian feuds, felt the need to leave a comment... same old story: your proposals don't fully convince me, but your style is always commendable. Regards.

It’s rare to find competent reviewers in this musical genre, where there is always a tendency to churn out hyperboles and considerations that have little to do with the music. You always manage to use the right words. Well done. The album, however, for what little I know, doesn't appeal to me.
