oh yes great review for an album that is much more inspired and happier than so much conventionally "grunge" stuff released that year....
Kaleidoscope (US) A Beacon From Mars

I was counting on doing it myself sooner or later: a splendid album, a lysergic carburetor full of refractions, with echoes even cajun. Genius interpreters of their own time.

Poletti, I hope you'll do the review of "Mystic River" soon, for me the best Clint film.

Spalletti who? The priest from Trigoria? A very enjoyable film.
Buddy Holly And The Crickets The Very Best

Well, what can I say... splendid page, Lewis: I would have also mentioned certain jingle jangle precursors (in tracks like "Everyday" and "Words of Love" which our beloved Byrds surely lent an ear to) and the crackling rockabilly flavors in Buddy Holly's tasty cocktail: the first and most influential Nerd in the history of rock (a random tribute: "Buddy Holly" by Weezer).
Dinosaur Jr. Bug

a classic, there’s not much to say. All memorable tracks, or almost. "No Bones," with the intro stolen from "Alabama" by Young, the hair-raising riff of "the Post," the vocal harmonies of the amphetamine-fueled "Let it ride," "Freak Scene"......
Buffalo Springfield Last Time Around
Voto:
A classic "let's call it a day" album, the group's epitaph was "Again," in which the centrifugal forces that already surrounded the Buffalo turned into a true masterpiece. The nervous bass lines of Palmer are missing, and Stills' contributions, until proven otherwise the leader, are anemic compared to previous efforts. A piece like Neil's "On the way home," for example, sung by Furay and somewhat sweetened by an overly redundant arrangement, doesn't reach its full potential. Not surprisingly, Neil will "reclaim" it later, presenting it on "Four way street" with CSNY... the lyrics are wonderful: "I went insane like a smoke rain day when the wind blows," or "Though we rush ahead to save our time We are only what we feel." However, Furay's pre-Poco performances are convincing, and Neil's "I am a child" is always a gem. Great review.
