The gag featuring Jerry Calà and his friend Ermanno Liverani, self-proclaimed "schiantatope," is unforgettable in "vacanze in america."

I still find "Up" too long and draining (the timing is really excessive, several tracks like "suspicion," "parakeet," and "diminished" seem never-ending) despite having many memorable moments… I prefer "Reveal" among the post-Berry ones, more consistent and with some little classics. As for the IRS period, I don't think there's much to discuss.

Lofgren also played on "Tonight's the Night" in absentia of Danny Whitten (RIP). The moment is famous when he's about to launch into his moving solo in "Speakin' Out" and Neil encourages him.... "all right Nils, all right..."

Yes, in the case of the God Machine, the "fortune" was mainly in the critics' consideration.

For Scaruffi, it's one of their best albums hehe. For me, "Monster" is one of the many great records that dot their career, but not among the top. My favorite tracks are: "Sitting Still," "Cuyahoga," "Oddfellows Local 151," "World Leader Pretend," "Half a World Away," "Find the River," "Let Me In," "Leave"... but there are many others.

@starblazer. "Jessie" is from 1993, "Again" from 1995. You do the math.

From "out of time," I love "half a world away," one of their top 10 tracks of all time. The rest, aside from the pieces you mentioned, is quite soft.

@boredom. Yes, by the way, it seems it was a true story. The singer ran away from home, the dog Jessie tried to follow him, and once he lost his owner, he never returned home. @mary - Yes, 5 stars are probably excessive; it's a strong 4, rounded up for sentimental reasons and because I’ve been listening to it quite a bit these days, and I really liked it.

I would place "Murmur," "Life's Rich Pageant," and "New Adventures in Hi-Fi" on the podium (in strict chronological order). Then "Document," "Green," and "Automatic for the People." "Fables of the Reconstruction" was the classic, difficult third album (of transition), while I find "Up" decidedly verbose (though it has some great tracks). "Reveal," on the other hand, has always fascinated me for its sound experimentation applied to pop (not by chance, a remix album was released). A record like that can fit into a career, although there are still some excellent tracks ("The Lifting," "Disappear," "I'll Take the Rain").
