It remains true that a colleague's opinion isn't absolute (for instance, Robert Fripp loves Nirvana while Keith Richards thinks they suck), claiming as marcoleonard does that Cobain was merely a character of "great charisma" in Seattle is inaccurate; everyone acknowledged his merits on a purely musical level (Mark Arm, Kim Thayll, Chris Cornell, Tad Doyle, and the list could go on). That said, if one is so fond of the Screaming Trees and detests Nirvana (which is absolutely valid, mind you, I like both regardless), it would be better to discuss only Lanegan and company at least in their review, but evidently the approach of "I don't think you know him, he was the singer of the Screaming Trees" immortalized by Offlaga is still relevant among alternative youth.
