Faith No More Angel Dust

It's certainly plausible that "the real thing" may have influenced nu-metal artists more than anything else, but "angel dust" is an album that has inspired practically everyone, and I reiterate the example I gave of "nosebleed" by Deftones. Perhaps saying, as Joe does, that nu-metal has its roots right here is a bit excessive, but it was certainly one of the sources that nu-metalers drew from... the truth often lies in the middle...

I would really like to hear the intro stolen from the legendary "Ricchi e Poveri" though...

On the subject of nu metal, there's little to say, guys: whether you like it or not, all its flag bearers (Korn, Deftones, Limp Bizkit) have always cited Faith No More as a fundamental influence, and in many cases, they have clearly borrowed from the insights of the Patton group, often trivializing them in their albums. For instance, tell me if the central progression of "Caffeine" hasn’t been completely taken up by Deftones in "Nosebleed," or if the digressions in Korn's "Untouchables" don't remind you of the mature FNM sounds in "King for a Day" or "Album of the Year." As for grunge, I would tread more carefully, Pretazzo; I see just distant echoes... @Joe. Your "editorial" choice in reviews focuses on a period—the '90s—when a good portion of the Debaser users developed their musical taste, so your writings are clearly dissected and analyzed... Anyway, you write well and put these albums in the right perspective, and that is personally enough for me.

one of the albums I’ve listened to the most in my life... I like the review, it oozes passion even though I don’t agree with some things, but those are just细微差别.

Oh yes, pretazzo, in '92 I was 15 years old, caught up in the full grunge delirium, even though my Cobain-esque orthodoxy at the time made me look at the operation with suspicion....and indeed the substance of the work seems embarrassing now. I don’t think I was too harsh, after all, as written by Lewis, Donz, and others...even the Pearl Jam, who in "Vitalogy" criticized the media's manipulation of grunge, surely regretted this film.

their last great album, then with "down" a bit of routine would begin, the worst flaw for a band with experimental aspirations. But this album still rocks.

well done ocean, concise and perfect review. I've listened to this album too little to give a judgment, but it’s truly splendid....
