Yeah, Donjuno.. it's true that Whitesnake was awful. But that's exactly what David Coverdale leveraged for his success, even before the quality of the talented rockers who collaborated with him.

There were already other reviews of the album. I believe it was useless to send another one that praises it in the same way as the previous ones without presenting, even partially, another key of interpretation. I would have liked to do it myself, but I held back (also to spare myself the inevitable rain of insults), so I limited myself to commenting on the lines already written by others. Then there are always characters, like those mentioned above, who take it as a "satire on Muhammad"... and down you go with shovels of filth (from the dirty obtuse metalhead to "you're acting in bad faith and you don't understand a damn thing"). This mocking about my photo was new to me, EnRicchio. If it provokes such hormonal upheaval, don’t worry, it just means I’ll replace it with one where I’m less photogenic.

...I haven't listened to it yet... (I wouldn't have enough time in three whole lives to keep up with all that's released that might interest me)

Rock for those who don't love rock. The archè of a genre technique\blood\sweat that gets plasticized into the "mass-media sensation" without substance. I was just a kid, but I remember when it came out, a herd of sheep cried miracle. Later, forced by the trend that swept the planet, many valid artists released a series of excellent, more experimental works (following the minimalist wave imposed by this curse of CDs), remaining equally ignored and mistreated. A providential record like a tsunami.

After all this noise, I think it would be wise for Vic to start mocking metalheads again, since they count for about as much as a 2 of clubs (not in parliament, not running large industrial groups, and certainly not dealing with high finance), thus avoiding offending the sensibilities of some radical-chic folks who frequent these pages. Despite the fact that (I admit) I would have loved to give him a "slice of criticism" for those reviews of "Heaven And Hell" and "The Downward Spiral," it's undeniable that his reviews are genuinely entertaining (and they aren't even as stupid as people want to make them out to be).
