I respond to tessio because he seemed like someone who accepts dialogue. In almost 14 years of listening, "The Downward Spiral" is the only album I have let go of without regrets. It was a fortunate coincidence for me; let's say I seized the opportunity. If Vic can shoot down (and I hope he continues to, this is absolutely not a personal attack) albums he hasn't even listened to (because Heaven And Hell has NEVER been heard by him, I would bet an arm and a leg on it), I don’t see the scandal in this other interpretation of the NIN album. If Vic had praised "Mezzanine," or I don’t know, "Surrender" by the Chemical Brothers, I certainly couldn't argue that Christ died of pneumonia. I would never allow myself to gratuitously belittle someone who doesn’t deserve it just for pure sophistic competition.

I repeat, in my opinion this album has nothing to do with the music, and it’s also pretty bad. In reality, I would have happily refrained from reviewing it. I’m pleased to have caused “such outrage.” I was hoping for that. Now you can also understand what a fan of Black Sabbath (or Guns) feels when reading the reviews of Vic Sorriso (besides, regardless of his incompetence, they are absolutely hilarious and entertaining, and I say this truly without any irony).
