Algol, I hope your comment #53 was directed at casamorta, because otherwise you made a mistake.

"Consider what the English represented for Argentinians at that time" --> so you don't care about how someone behaves off the field, and I should care about the Falkland Islands while talking about Maradona?

In my opinion, The Offspring were a very respectable band up until "Ixnay on the Hombre." From "Americana" onward, their decline began to be inevitable. Sure, they were never geniuses, but their surf-punk was of excellent quality, definitely on another level compared to various Blink, Sum41, and the like.

Wow, strange, usually it's the Napoli fans (rightly) who don’t "see it" when talking about the Pibe. Anyway, I also have a soft spot for Inter. :D

Indeed, I think like you when it comes to Maradona. My post was referring to the genius of the "hand touch." It really wasn’t necessary.

"And yet the unsportsmanlike hand goal against England is elevated to a sublime act of genius"— but no. If we start to justify and idolize someone even when they commit wrongdoings... well. Even Henry's act is worthy of a football genius, then. :D
