The Ajax of the early '70s was an incredible team. Cruyff was immense talent, a talent that emerges every 20 years. Probably the best European player in history, no doubt about it. :D

From "Murmur" to "Document," I think they're all great albums. I like their '90s output less, although I've recently reevaluated "Automatic for the People" and "New Adventures in HiFi" quite a bit; after that, very little holds up, maybe just "Up."

In cases like this, there's little to discuss: there is no desire to create something artistic in characters like this, but only the wish to make money and achieve fame. And, typically, those who want to make money must create music that attracts the avalanche of people who "discover" music through various radio stations, the merdival di sanremo, etc., and with (the people who listen to "a bit of everything" :D) an artistic taste comparable to that of a primitive man, it's obvious that what comes out is "DISTILLED SHIT" D.O.C/D.O.P./I.G.P. :D

I already knew this story about Coca-Cola... great Carlo, as usual. You mentioned Netzer, a huge player from what my father tells me, gigantic and with feet of velvet. It's a shame he faced a lot of opposition from the senators of West Germany, but he still managed to achieve the European double in '72 and the World Cup in '74, even though he played little in the home World Cup.
