I would say that Morning Again and Shai Hulud are above these. If you’re talking about the metalcore that exploded in recent years, I don’t know, it leaves me indifferent.

As for many others, yes, you’re right, but that’s why the definition fits perfectly: punk, jazz, funk, folk, etc., more unclassifiable than that. :D
