Just below Astral Weeks...chilling songs even in Moondance. Too bad that here on Debaser the good Van doesn't get much attention... :(

I mean, I can't understand why this Scaruffi is taken so seriously. He himself said that "he doesn't understand anything about rock" and that he "listens to albums only once"... and we're supposed to discuss the supposed "critical revelations" from this guy who rates an album after ONLY ONE LISTEN, maybe a rushed one? Is this professionalism?

I get what you mean, Dave... I don’t know, I don’t listen to grunge much, but now and then I play something by Alice In Chains (my favorites) and Nirvana. Anyway, the grunge bands didn’t strike me as technically poor... out of curiosity: what post-77 bands do you like?

Unfortunately, pegepunk, I’m starting to believe that you’re right. The fact is that my listening habits vary greatly; I like very different genres and I try to find the "good" in every musical current. And that’s why I can't understand listeners who "set limits" for themselves...

It's not about that; I don't care about Nirvana either. You say you're being objective, while in reality, you don't listen to post-77 music due to biases. Okay, you may simply not like it, that's perfectly valid... but you can't "claim" that it sucks...

By the way, Pret, I received "Hosianna Mantra" by Popol Vuh today. After much thought, I bought it...great music, but it seems to me quite a BRICK...what do you think about it?
