Purchased together with "Saxophone Improvisation." What can I say, a fantastic avant-garde record. I totally agree with your (beautiful) review: a challenging but thrilling album. Definitely, to conceive musical projects like this, one has to be a genius.

I only listened carefully to their first album, and that (at the time) made me wary of listening to others. Hoping I'm wrong, I'll try to check out their later works… maybe later, I'm not in the mood right now… :D

@gbrunoro: I also told Neu! (some time ago) that he can write the review on Nona, but he probably prefers to keep it as an excuse (always a good one) to give a 1 to groups he doesn’t like…
Avril Lavigne The Best Damn Thing
Voto:
Certain albums (many...) that have been released in recent years and have set record sales like the one by Lavigne, Tokio Hotel, Finley, and 30 Seconds to Mars are a real plague. For these albums, the word "music" shouldn't even be used, because it isn't music. It's garbage well-packaged with various glitter. Some of my friends tell me I'm musically a Nazi, and it's true. In these cases, there is no subjectivity, no "de gustibus": this is just crap.

Indeed, Stoney's speech makes perfect sense.

"...because if you had said something like that to me in person, I would have puffed you up until you turned into a look-alike of Lino Banfi" ---> but, Alessio, weren't you the one against machismo?... :D

Meta, I had named him Stravinsky... :D

Ah, I almost forgot Leone di Lernia... thank you, Alessio.

I don't know much about Zorn. I definitely need to dig deeper. Of course, the usual phrases like "greatest composer of the 20th century" are absolutely useless. They could apply just as well to reviews of Coltrane, Mingus, Zappa, Stravinsky, etc.—practically interchangeable…:D great review anyway.
