Jackie McLean Let Freedom Ring
Voto:
Count, I have the same problem with space for CDs, unfortunately, I have to stack them. I make do as best as I can: I use all the drawers in my room as CD holders, the problem is they keep filling up more and more. As for ECM, the whole story about the 30 minutes of applause is ridiculous and shameful... I was left speechless :(

At least the Blue Note reissues are at 9.90... for crying out loud! I can find those ECM ones for a maximum of 16.90! :(

Well, anyway, who cares, as long as I can, I’ll keep doing it; when I’m broke, I’ll stop spending on music. :D p.s.= but how much the hell do ECM records cost? They’re thieves!!!

Instead, dear Count, I had a box set of Tyner delivered to me called "Mosaic Select," containing 4 albums recorded from '68 to '70: "Expansions," "Cosmos," "Extensions," and "Asante." Additionally, there's "Eastern Sounds" by Yusef Lateef and "Afric Pepperbird" by Garbarek. After all, I’ve been spending a lot of money on music CDs for years. Even at 15-16, I used to save part of my weekly allowance for records... :D

Beautiful review, Dolphy, as always. This has been on my shopping list for a while. I have Jackie’s Destination Out, which is phenomenal, so I imagine this is on the same level. What can I say, one never stops praising Blue Note! :D Anyway, it seems to me that "One Step Beyond," also by McLean, is still out of print or at least hasn’t been reissued in a long time. I believe the latest reissues from Blue are a few records by Lee Morgan that just came out...they want to leave me broke...:D
Van Morrison Into The Music

Well sonic80, it's to be expected; after all, those who rave about Bublé's "Moondance" probably don't even know who Van is, unfortunately... and anyway, no one could recreate "Moondance" like Morrison, one of the most emotive voices of all time.

Thank goodness, lux :), I was just thinking: "damn, you can't write anything in here anymore without being misunderstood."

I'm no longer part of the dispute (:D), but lux, message n° 327 seems a bit forced and hard to prove, sorry...
