Dolphy, your reviews are always very popular, I see... :D By the way, Dolphy: which musician did you first connect with in jazz?

Honestly, I go to clubs to have fun and party with friends... but which places did you used to hang out at? :DDD

The problem is that I often go out to bars, and if it's a party night, I'm screwed, I empty my wallet! :D

Haha Conte, you're a music fetishist too. I always check for scratches as well...:DD Plus, I never lend my CDs to anyone; I've had some infuriating past lending experiences. Like they come back with the cover damaged and dirty... and when you ruin a booklet, you keep it like that...

Far from the Pere Ubu of "The Modern Dance," this record and this cover (!!!) represent the decay and discomfort of modern man, of a society in disarray...no doubt about it! :D

Oh yes, great album. I was looking yesterday at some photos online of the Weather Report, it's quite something to see Shorter dressed in 70s style with an afro... :DDD in the '60s albums he was always in a suit. I was wondering, how much music has he composed in his career? An exceptional talent: in Blakey's Messengers, in solo albums, in Miles' quintet, in the Reports... I mean, wherever he went (aside from the Reports) he became the main composer. A great one, there's no denying it...

Certainly, the Koln Concert will NEVER be put on sale; they know it's the classic album that at some point a music lover will buy... just to say, I got "The All Seeing Eye" by Shorter for 5.50 euros from Blue Note. Anyway, the other labels have more accessible prices: Prestige, Impulse! etc. etc. Let's boycott ECM!! :D

The rough recording in a "Heavy" live like this (at least that's what I gather from the comments) doesn't seem like a big flaw to me. As long as it's not in the style of Carcass from the late '80s... that would be too much! :DDD

Anyway, I can't understand the reason behind ECM's ridiculously high prices. Sure, they’re probably recorded perfectly, but 7 euros more for the quality of the recording seems excessive to me. The fact is that any ECM record, whether it’s from 2007 or 1975, costs the same. Damn it, haven’t they made enough profit in the 30 years since the record’s release? Do they still have to price them at 18-20 euros??? This is like a musical criminal organization!!! :D
