"...it's no longer a matter of lacking arguments but of artistic sensitivity: either you have it or you don't, you can't explain it..." hahahaha this boast is worthy of Braschi from Drive-In..:DD I think you've really messed up this time.

"Are you telling me that anyone who plays an instrument never spouts nonsense about music?" In my opinion, wise guy, it’s not just those who play instruments, but those who have STUDIED music, perhaps some music history professor, who likely have a broader and more critical perspective both technically and in terms of meaning. To put it simply: a guitarist who idolizes Steve Vai probably has an overly technical view of music; while maybe a pianist who teaches music and has studied composition is much more balanced and credible. At least, I believe it to be so… :D

I wouldn't know, on Wikipedia (far from infallible...) this Scaruffi should be around 350 years old considering the amount of things he has done. Degrees, head of a department at Olivetti, poetry, music criticism, travels... not to mention that in the meantime he has listened to about 10,000,000 rock records and just as many jazz and classical ones. It all seems quite curious to me...

But Stoney, where does it say that Scaruffi has dedicated his whole life to music discipline (I suppose...) and the study of it? On his website, he says he has a degree in Mathematics and Physics and that he taught at Harvard. I believe it's more of a passion for him, if I'm not mistaken, but I should probably review his biography.

However, coming to think of it, given the albums reviewed by DEMIEN, I have a SLIGHT feeling that it’s a fake... I don’t know :D

I don't know what music you all listen to on DeBaser (forgive me, but you all seem a bit "falsely alternative because it’s cool"...how annoying these phrases from the "sagra del luogo comune"...so you actually believe that everyone who claims not to listen to the radio sludge is lying? I wonder how the hell you can listen to this stuff and say "how beautiful", but everyone listens to what they believe. I never criticize the listener, but the listened.

"Come on, let's not kid ourselves: there hasn't been a damn thing about Gods, but especially about Medal. A Gods Of Medal where the Voivod play at noon, before the Ed-ghei, is like a butcher shop displaying rotten meat in the window. Good review"...I fully agree, word for word!!!

Brat12, you're not entirely wrong, actually: in the chaos of grindcore releases, it's hard to find truly valid and original albums, but the same can be said for many genres. The good stuff is out there, though hidden in the whirlwind of useless releases...

"I've always thought that anyone who reads these things after the age of 12 has some issues"...damn, how many people with problems are there in the world? Many 50-year-olds who still read Tex? Lots of adults who still read Topolino?
