"In any professional sport, a long absence makes it difficult to become competitive again." Usually, this refers to physical/athletic decline, but in this case, Jordan continued to engage in sports with baseball, so his body wasn't too adversely affected. However, I wouldn't be so sure that he immediately returned to dominating: he played the last games of the 94-95 season during which he was not yet at his peak. He truly came back the following season, as I remember.

I laugh as much as I want. I know Wilkins well, and I also remember the beatings he took from a Bird practically at a 90° angle from the pain: so what was he capable of???... of committing a foul for a 4-point play against Virtus Bologna in the '98 final??

Masssssssiiiiiiii, come on, it was a good thing --> just for the fuck of it dear Alexander, those are professionals paid MILLIONS and they are expected to show at least a respectful demeanor towards those who make them rich.

"Proof of this is the fact that he went off to make a fool of himself in baseball" --> can you explain how this relates to the discussion?

"In a high-level NBA, he would have taken a beating" --> just assumptions, dear Alexander. You wouldn't want to compare the Celtics of Bird-McHale-Parish-Johnson with the Bulls of Jordan-?-?-? in the mid-'80s, would you? You wouldn't want to compare the Lakers of Magic-Jabbar-Worthy to the Bulls of Jordan-?-?-? also in the mid-'80s, would you? Dominique Wilkins??? buahahah and why not Jamal Wilkes then...:DDD

"Seeing Joe Dumars at the camp refuse autographs to the lobotomized multitudes in Bulls 23 jerseys and granting them only to a select few is priceless" ---> it doesn’t seem like a great gesture to me. Giving it to a FEW OTHERS... were they chosen by him? come on.

It looks like "the hammer" to me, but I might be mistaken about someone else. If we're talking about white players, the legendary dunker Tom Chambers also deserves a mention: I still have in my mind a dunk he made when he played for the Phoenix Suns; he jumped over the defender to slam it in..:DD

Well, the legendary Jack Sikma, I think he also had a nickname, but I can't recall it right now...

In terms of calculations, Jordan is the best. I've never seen anyone do what he did. I also personally prefer a more "human" LEGEND like Larry Bird, but I struggle to not consider (objectively) Jordan the NUMBER ONE. My all-time favorite player is Julius "the doctor" Erving. The second is Clyde "the glide" Drexler. In my heart, everyone else fades away in front of those two. :DD

"ignorant w Berlusconi, at least he has some ideas" --> it would have been better if you had stuck to the "Padanian" discourse. :DD
