Dmitri Shostakovich Quartetto n. 15, Op. 144
Voto:
This evening I'll listen to it again, I have the complete quartets from Decca with the Fitzwilliam Quartet. In truth, I believe there are more acclaimed editions, but years ago I found this one and settled for it. Great, so besides listening to it again, I will also make sure to look into any reference performances/editions, the quartets of Shostakovich deserve the best.
Lucio Dalla 1983
Voto:
Album that I listened to a lot a couple of years ago, who knows why just this one, maybe I was too lazy to take it out of the stereo, damn laziness. Anyway, it’s not bad at all, it’s still in the good phase of its career, even if no longer at its peak.
The Flaming Lips American Head
Voto:
One of the best albums of the year, for me, an absolute bomb.
Bruce Springsteen Letter to you
Voto:
I have it in heavy rotation right now. I agree on everything, old-style album with that E-street vibe from the late '70s. The three recoveries from the '70s are the crown jewels (even though... I still prefer the demo versions from those years). As for the rest, there are plenty of great tracks, particularly spot on.
Roberto Vecchioni Barbapapà
Voto:
Just today I was listening to Ipertensione, a great album and a great Roberto. I don't remember the Barbapapà, for age-related reasons.
David Fincher The Social Network
Voto:
I haven't seen the film, but if I get the chance in the future, I'd love to.
David Fincher The Social Network
Voto:
The problems that many attribute to social networks (like fake news and those who believe in it) are actually issues that humanity has always faced, so I find it extremely foolish to shut down social networks because they contribute to these dynamics; it's like sweeping dust under the rug. It would be wiser to prepare the population to think critically and to make proper use of any tools, whether virtual or real.
Bernard Parmegiani De Natura Sonorum
Voto:
Interesting work
Michael Tollin The Last Dance
Voto:
I've heard about this series, but I don't even know where it's being broadcast. The fact is, I don't really care about Michele Giordano; if they did one on Larry Legend (or Doctor J) that would make quite a difference.

When I read Bulgaria, I only think of USA 94. So many memories, matches played at 38° with 100% humidity, people panting after 20 minutes, Diana Ross failing to kick the ball into a goal just 1 meter away, Baggio dragging the national team to the finals with a kick in the ass, the most European Brazil ever with the wonder duo Romario-Bebeto and a midfield full of bulldogs, Hodgson making a name for himself with the Swiss national team before coming to wreak havoc in Italy, Hagi scoring from the locker rooms, Maradona being a one-man show for a couple of days, France and England failing to qualify (SUCATE), young players like Overmars pulling off amazing tricks, etc., etc., BUT ABOVE ALL, the first World Cup I watched and truly experienced. How time flies.
