in my opinion, the best of Rush, a synthesis of their mature and absolutely original prog-hard rock. Those who love rock and guitar must hear "Villa Strangiato" at least once in their lives, one of the best instrumentals in the history of rock. The golden period of Rush, in my opinion, ends with this album; the following ones will have notable insights, excellent compositions (Moving Pictures), the usual elegance, but they will no longer possess the artistic genius and taste that resides in Rush's 70s era.

aaa the first paragraph was enough for me to dismiss the review, not to mention the tedious track by track; nothing personal against you starblazer, but comparing dream theater, muse, and nirvana in a review is really too much. Muse are really at opposite ends, both visually and in terms of content, to grunge. They are a band I do like quite a bit (Origin of Symmetry is a remarkable album, the following one is very nice, but I’m not interested in their current work; it seems they have stagnated in repeating the same old stuff).

In response to embryo, we can say that this watershed compared to the previous album (which was strangely sunny in some parts for an Opeth record) is darker, an album that, as usual, embodies the essence of autumn, not particularly suited for summer listening. The novelty introduced by "Ghost Reveries," namely the keyboards, is maintained; in fact, their use seems more mature and elegant compared to the previous album, increasing the parts with clean vocals and generally the acoustic and progressive sections. For the rest, we have the typical sound of the phase from "Blackwater Park" onward, but with more progressive inserts and with the almost complete disappearance of death riffs that were especially present from "Blackwater" onward (especially in "Deliverance").

I recommend on YouTube the freestyle challenge with ira-rayden-clementino-gel, I don't understand shit about hip hop and I only listen to it because some friends play it in the car, anyway Rayden in that freestyle (super fun) is good, even though he can't really compare to Ira and Clementino. I don't like the tone of his voice, maybe on the record he'll probably be better.

There’s nothing at all related to jazz, but why is it that when someone hears a strange tuning or a fast piece that suddenly replaces a slow one, they talk about jazz? It’s a flaw of many metalheads, but okay, the album is very good, it grows on you with each listen. I’ve heard criticisms upon criticisms regarding the track "porcelain heart," which in my opinion (especially the initial acoustic part that I prefer to the one in "burden") is among the best tracks and I don’t understand where the fragmentation is in this piece, given that many parts are repeated. If "porcelain heart" is fragmented, then what is "black rose immortal"? Along with "lotus eater," it’s among the best tracks.

and I add one more thing: Italy since the post-World War II period has always been a battleground, a territory of foreign experiments (Operation Gladio, various failed coup attempts like the bourgeois one, a frontier land during the Cold War, a land of state massacres, of P2, and let’s not forget that we have the Vatican), only by seeing Italy as a frontier land and crossroads of powerful forces can one understand the reason behind this situation; the problem is not at all about different cultures. Do you know how many nations have been formed despite having diverse cultures and yet live peacefully?

Beautiful review, full of blood and passion. Regarding the fact that those who are not from Naples cannot understand, I'm sorry, but this is true only for those who inform themselves through national news or follow official information channels. Because those who have the desire and patience can inform themselves and fully understand the Neapolitan situation. It's normal that someone who has lived there will be more familiar with certain concepts and situations, but they will also be less objective and more emotional, as they experience the situation from within. Italians must help each other, because the waste emergency in Campania involves a network of national collusion; it is not just a local problem but a national one, and the responsibility lies also with many from the North who, encouraged by the Camorra, bring their toxic waste to Campania (go tell that to some League member who shouts "we are not like the Neapolitans"). The fairytales like "the state is us" and the idea that Naples' problem is due to "the absence of the state" demonstrate a poor understanding of Italian history and what the state really is! In other countries, situations like this do not occur, not because there is more state involvement, but because there are fewer collusions between the state, the mafia, and Freemasonry. Italy is a frontier country, one of the most important geostrategic points in the world. For many, an unstable situation and puppets in government are convenient.

Often, to tell a truth, it’s better to do so in the form of a novel; such things have been done forever, because often reality surpasses fantasy and some things can be understood and expressed better in the form of a novel, and above all, the "novelized" and grotesque form of the film ensures its longevity. A film about historical reality is good at most for a few conferences or topics covered in school and university, but cinema is art; a documentary rightly wouldn’t have won the award at Cannes. Then, from your review, it’s clear how we are all ready to say "Italy sucks," etc., without realizing our hypocrisy. Your comment about the garbage in Naples already shows enormous ignorance, and the fact that very often even those who believe themselves to be free thinkers are greatly duped by the official mass media. You write well anyway, and your provocative style is charming, but in this case, you've missed the mark.

I completely agree, the film is terrible, while the sequel set in Africa is much more enjoyable and fun. What saves the film from the trash is Jim Carrey and some of his hilarious expressions and gags. Among his comedies, I think the best is Dumb and Dumber, really a great funny movie. The others have some brilliant gags scattered here and there, like Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, which is a film that far exceeds a passing grade, or Liar Liar, which stands on its own thanks to Carrey, but the rest are quite mediocre.
