Pink Floyd The Wall
Voto:
masterpiece album, perhaps the best concept album ever created. Beyond the music, it is necessary to understand the lyrics in this work. Brilliant and extremely relevant in its themes! And anyway, the symbol of the wall indicates, as the song "Another Brick in the Wall" states, that we in this society are just a simple brick that contributes to creating walls of misunderstanding, division, guilt, and hatred! Understanding the concept of the album makes everything more sublime!
Breach It's Me God

i Breach are a brilliant band. Unfortunately, I only have Venom (an absolute masterpiece) and not the album you reviewed. Anyway, the review was done with heart, congratulations! It's a shame they disbanded. In post-hardcore, Breach and Neurosis for me are in the pantheon, but not only in this genre; they are among the most ingenious in the entire rock scene of recent years, even if the rock label feels tight for these bands!

Picking up the conversation started by airone and chinaski, let's say that I began listening to music with metal. Now I try to explore other genres as well, but currently most of the albums I listen to are metal, and often this genre is more willing to experiment than many rock genres. Leaving aside the classic bands of the genre like heavy metal with groups such as Manowar or Iron Maiden, which are static and it's right for their genre to be so (it's like asking Deep Purple, icons of hard rock, to start playing pop), there are various experiments with myriad genres such as ambient, industrial, jazz, etc., that I don’t see in other genres. I don't consider myself a metalhead (at least not anymore; maybe I was years ago), but respect must be given to every genre because I’m finding interesting things and disgusting stuff in both rock and metal. In short, all genres have their garbage and their gems. Listening to music to act like pretentious intellectuals is something useless and idiotic.
Emperor Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk

Another masterpiece. If "in the nightside eclipse" was darker, this one is more violent, epic, and chaotic (in a good way, of course). Certain passages in some songs really give you goosebumps. One of the masterpieces of extreme metal! Great review, even though I don't agree with your final statement; IX equilibrium is another masterpiece for me!

I know they are Canadian, but Canada is part of the American continent, so Americans in that sense. It's not a oversight!!!
Children of Bodom Are You Dead Yet?

Come on, you can't bring the prog into a discussion about Children of Bodom; it really shows you have a confused understanding of the music world. I haven't listened to the album yet. I’ll make up for it!

This album goes in phases: I like it or I don't. There are truly brilliant ideas, and finally the Isis have shaken off the label of "Neurosis clones" that I've read they had. This album is original and personal. Perhaps it's a bit too long for the genre they propose. Anyway, it's a fascinating piece of work. I don't know what score to give it, so it gets the middle score. Great review!

But why are you tearing down this great album like that? Look, music is first and foremost melody! This album is pompous and has a lot of personality. Asia has managed to create a sound that is unmistakably their own. "One Step Closer," "Time Again," and "Sole Survivor" have exceptional melodies, with that 80s feel that is delightful. The members come from bands that have made history in prog, but instead of being show-offs and flaunting how technically skilled they are, they create songs. Sure, in the early 80s, prog wasn’t popular. So you might be right that this record was made to make money. So what? The CD is good, so I don’t see the problem. I repeat, they have managed to blend prog with hard rock and a sprinkle of pop that makes the work enjoyable and never tiring. These guys create the songs, they play them, not on pre-set backgrounds like today's commercial music that creates everything on the computer!
In Flames The Jester Race

probably the best album by In Flames. Great solos and riffs with a certain atmosphere that never hurts. Folk+heavy+death= In Flames
