Dimmu Borgir Enthrone Darkness Triumphant

great masterpiece. Unforgettable "spellbound" "in death embrace" and particularly, with a text I think dedicated to a whore "a succubus in rapture", with a truly gloomy atmosphere!!!

Sorry necros, but mestropolis is the translation for menstruation in Greek?
The album, anyway, is one to remember!!!!

As Metallika already said, in the lyrics of "We Hate Everyone," Steel responds to those who accused him of being fascist: "the left says I'm a fascist... the right that I'm a communist... I feel hatred for all of you." This is a misanthropic statement and certainly not Nazi!!! Moreover, their lyrics are 90% or more all ironic and some even funny. The first time I read the lyrics of "Christian Woman," I burst out laughing, great!!!! I still have to listen to the album!

surely more gaudy and commercial compared to the previous ones, however another beautiful work. My rating would be 4.5, so I’ll give it a 4!
Journey Infinity

cordial wrecking crew, this group is placed within the same genre as Survivor, and it's only for this reason that I've mentioned them. In fact, the differences are remarkable, and the musicians of Journey are more skilled and have a greater musical taste, but I don't want to harshly denigrate Survivor; they are still a good group.
I have yet to listen to the album Escape on my headphones. I shall remedy this!
Best regards.

Yes, you're right, the references to Kansas are there, I had never thought about it!

Yes, Steve Smith will be part of Journey, but he is not present on this album, which is from 1978. Smith will join the lineup with the album Escape in 1981.

nuclear as a protest group, Metallica are the worst example; maybe they were protesting against themselves, eee. There are other metal protest bands, like Napalm Death, Sepultura (not the ones from the very first albums). Then there are bands that are not exactly leftist but protest against society and conformity, like Voivod or Fear Factory. Anyway, the first Korn CD has insane intensity. Davis's discomfort is truly palpable; it's an album where the pain is clearly audible. Then, here, there's no rap at all. This first album is their masterpiece; the following albums aren't much, also because they incorporate rap and hip hop, which is instead absent in the self-titled album. I still need to listen to the latest ones!!!!
Klimt 1918 Dopoguerra

the best album by an Italian band I have ever heard!!! Exciting, mature, reflective. It's great to see that Italy can also produce high-quality music that is not stereotyped and not tied to trends. Awesome!!!!
