Emanuele, is Pausini's voice remarkable? In the field, I think the best is Giorgia; Pausini always sings in the same key, I mean, you hear her once and you already know how she'll use her voice in all the songs. It's not very versatile. I only know one nice song by Pausini, I don't know the title. I've never liked her (just like I don't like pop), of course compared to the times when she sang "la solitudine," she's improved a bit, especially she's become hotter!

Hi Hal, you’re right, in fact if you notice I hesitated in describing that violin that opens the second movement, I can’t precisely say what state of mind it expresses! Besides this symphony, I have Mahler’s Fifth (which I consider slightly inferior to this one) and Das Lied von der Erde, the latter truly a moving musical piece, I hope that someone among you (maybe you Hal) will review it. It’s such a sublime work that I would be afraid to ruin it with words!
