Kreator Cause for Conflict
Voto:
I really like the more "experimental" and open-minded kreators from the 90s, in fact Outcast and Endorama are my favorite albums by this band. Then there was the return to thrash, convincing but a bit conventional; I'm missing this album instead.
Michele Soavi Dellamorte Dellamore

I liked it too, very much actually; it has a disturbing atmosphere, many original ideas, and characters fully immersed in their roles. Here (like the ending) even evoke vibes from Dylan Dog (not by chance, Rupert Everett resembles him quite a bit here). There's also the exposed breasts of Falchi, what more could you want? A very underrated horror director, "La Chiesa" is another great film of his that scared the hell out of me.
Isis Oceanic Remixes / Reinterpretations

the panopticon is beautiful but oceanic is more unique and psychedelic and indeed lends itself better to a remix, but I'm still skeptical
William J. Bell - Lee Phillip Bell Beautiful
Voto:
It's the most sci-fi and fantasy thing they show on TV: a family that mates with each other, Brooke who has passed around children and father, dead and then resurrected, and the list could go on. The legendary Maccio Capatonda, in his parody of reality shows "il divano scomodo," captured beautifully in a scene what "Beautiful" is all about: the bimbo participates in the reality show but loses just to watch Beautiful, and in the scene shown, Ridge tells Brooke: "Brooke, I am your grandfather"... wow.

Incubus Monuments And Melodies
Voto:
madcat, the Incubus have nothing to do with nu metal, listen to S.C.I.E.N.C.E., then come back here and say: "damn, how could I have placed the Incubus in nu metal?" If anything, the album I recommended has influenced several bands in the genre, but we're on another planet, another class, a more universal group, the Limp Bizkit. You enjoy listening to them as a teenager, then you understand and move on to something else. The Korn remain valid; at least the debut is truly a badass CD, crazy and full of genuine discomfort.
Incubus Monuments And Melodies

Great group, Incubus, even in the second part of their career, at least until "A Crow...", the last one I heard seemed really uninspired. From the crossover of their early days to a rock that can be post-grunge, introspective, and also powerful, they unfortunately have the typical bad luck of those who carry around strict and fanatical critics (who have their own personal rankings and decide what pure music is and what isn’t), ignorant teenagers (the ones who made people believe that anyone who doesn’t know the band or at least superficially thinks they belong to nu-metal just because they have a DJ), and those who judge like idiots because they saw the video with the girls on MTV and don’t know that they made a crossover hit that has nothing to envy from Faith No More and company (S.C.I.E.N.C.E.) and "Morning View," which is grossly underrated, a true masterpiece that outshines more renowned rock groups; at least in terms of melodic taste and sound inventions, it has really few rivals (of course, I'm talking about rock and not some original whatever). In short, poor unlucky ones; even in America, some compare them to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, viewing them as a group of followers rather than leaders, and in doing so, they gain glory only from teenage girls. But it’s established by Istat that the girls who listen to Incubus will end up appreciating great music in the future and won’t become emo. Guaranteed.
Whitney Houston I'm Your Baby Tonight
Voto:
As a child, I remember that on Italia1 early in the morning they constantly broadcasted the video for "Losing My Religion" by R.E.M. and one by Houston, and I liked both songs. The one by Houston drove me crazy, and even now I consider it valid in its genre (it should be the track that gives the title to the album). As for the rest, she makes me break out in hives, too sappy, too whiny, the typical type of female voice that, no matter how technically flawless, can only churn out ballads and silly romantic songs that are really a pain, truly one of the worst offshoots of black music, which thankfully in other spheres is vital, energetic, and, all in all, a whole different thing!
Alice Cooper Along Came A Spider
Voto:
I would say glam rock and horror rock; Alice Cooper is too unique to fit into a codified genre with precise sounds and dynamics like hard rock. I mean, take Deep Purple and then Alice Cooper—very different attitudes. Alice is more glam, more garage, more rock'n'roll in the primordial sense of the term. He comes from the Detroit rock scene (Stooges, etc.), so saying he was one of the pillars of hard rock seems quite incorrect to me.
Alice Cooper Welcome to My Nightmare

the rating is a 4 that I’m not very convinced about, but it’s hard to give less to Alice, especially because the title track, years ago, and the awakening are really excellent tracks!
