David Bowie Station To Station
Voto:
It's very fanatical, but it concerns Bowie, so it's forgivable, eh! It certainly changed my tastes and approaches in listening to music. This is one of the few albums of his from the '70s that I haven't listened to.
Megadeth Rust in Peace

It may not be as fundamental as Peace Sells, but it is an important CD for the so-called techno thrash. It was certainly one of the most creative and technical bands in thrash, that of Rust in Peace (two members of the band came, if I'm not mistaken, from jazz-oriented formations), capable of creating arrangements with an exotic flavor, playing on precision and surgical ferocity, rather than on nihilistic fury, thus distancing itself from punk and hardcore trends, which is no small feat...

how much of an asshole a guy is strangely there are always rumors that he is a fascist, as happened with peter steel, but do you read the lyrics, do you listen to the bands? would a fascist ever have done the anarchi in the uk cover of the sex pistols, or mocked governments and arms dealers in his album covers? Less bullshit please. Great album anyway, a true masterpiece of thrash metal, even if it is indeed a rather unique album, it plays (like pretty much all the early megadeth albums), quite a bit on atmospheres and the heavy influences are quite strong.

I will never see a movie cut as absurdly as this one. As mentioned in the review, it lasts over 4 hours and we only see half of it, so it's unjudgeable...
Katatonia Night Is The New Day

mmm these negative reviews don't convince me much, especially with a Katatonia album that requires several listens, and besides, "Viva Emptiness" (the only Katatonia album of the new millennium that I have) seemed to me to already have strong Opeth influences (especially in the calmer and more melodic tracks) and Tool, so I don't see where the difference lies, in the fact that the tracks are not very explosive? and that's not a flaw... we shall see...
Michele Soavi Dellamorte Dellamore

Anyway, in America it is rightly considered a cult, I read an interesting interview with the screenwriter of the film who has received several offers to make a remake. In my opinion, it remains the most original Italian horror of the 90s; the atmospheres are really like Dylan Dog (the screenplay is indeed based on one by Sclavi, who was very pleased with the film). "La chiesa" is by Soavi, Argento participates in the film but I don't know in what role, maybe he helped with the distribution. Anyway, the initial scene of the church is the one where the head of a young Asia Argento is crushed by a medieval knight; after that scene I understood that I would really like the film, eh!

A real delight, the latest wonderful film by Lino Banfi; on YouTube, I sometimes see the various legendary clips!

Regarding Vampires by Carpenter, it is definitely a more "serious" film, but inferior to many of his masterpieces, including the underrated "Prince of Darkness," which is also my absolute favorite horror film.

The beauty of this film, on the other hand, lies in the twist that occurs in the second half, which transforms it into an enjoyable B-movie horror. The first time I saw it, I was stunned; I had never seen a film turn its premises around so drastically, and for that alone, it deserves praise. Legendary sex machine. Cult film.
