And why do you think he was the weakest prey?? And when I say legend, it's because he played with Metallica, not for what he did as a bassist... if a band makes it into history, it’s because every single member has contributed to that, right? Of course, I can understand that technically he’s not a great one, but then again, Metallica aren’t known for being technical monsters... and Cliff is right: my opinion obviously cannot be objective when talking about the 4 horsemen, it's passion! Anyway, thanks for the ballads, I'll listen and then give you my opinion!!

I have something to say about Newsted: I don’t think it’s easy for anyone to join a group like Metallica to replace one of the most important and great members in their history, a brother of theirs, and to endure all the unintentional hatred that everyone poured onto him. They always saw themselves as James, Kirk, Lars + Jason... Jason always took his share of the flak... and yet he stood out (not just musically) and managed to enter the legend! Not everyone can do that, right the bassist?
