Let me explain better.
From your last post, you perfectly embody the usual stereotypical and completely ignorant commentator who believes that metal is always about satan, sex, whisky, and loud burps.
If you want to know what I think, take a look at my comments I've posted on de baser for about a year and a half now.
Honestly, I’m a bit tired of repeating the same arguments over and over.

Alessio, let me tell you, your vision is filled with the usual foolish and anachronistic prejudices, and I believe it is driven by a very limited knowledge of metal in all its forms.

At thirty, I can only resonate with Sen's statement, adding that I know my peers who still listen to heavy metal, as well as my dentist and my trusted shopkeeper, both of whom are in their fifties. The age difference, as far as I'm concerned, lies in the fact that while for a teenager all heavy metal is wonderful, without any ifs or buts, slightly older people tend to be much more realistic given their greater experience. I thank Caz for the tips. I almost forgot, the latest Katatonia released last year, even though it has been heavily criticized, is a good album for me.

Indeed, Nibiio isn't entirely wrong when he talks about contemporary metal. If you think about 2006 and remove the latest releases from Voivod, Mastodon, Agalloch, or My Dying Bride, the rest, for me, is really just trash. Come on, you can't deny it: consider the latest from various Maiden, Slayer, Motorhead, Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, Moonspell, Sepultura, Angra, Cradle of Filth, and so on. Think about a band that has been overhyped like the useless Trivium. Then one might argue: but you don't know the "Vattelapesca" from New Zealand, those guys are badass. Okay, but in the end, the genre is known for the works of the most famous or most promoted bands. I repeat, in reality, metal today, in my opinion, aside from a few exceptions, is a big load of crap.

I absolutely disagree with the user above. 1916 was a real punch in the teeth, like maybe none has ever been.

"Here... Here's an example of chaotic and useless music."
Bartle, don't be too diplomatic; this is absolutely one of the most ignorant statements in the absolute sense of the word.
And, after all, I'm not even that surprised it was said by Hetzer, who believes that all music post-77 is trash.
Allow me to say, Hetzer, that you’re just a mental arrogant as far as I'm concerned, and I'll explain why right away.
To make such a dogmatic statement, you should know, in my opinion, at least 80% of the works of bands in that genre.
Let alone if we shift this discussion to all music in general.
I repeat, in my opinion, besides demonstrating a surprising ignorance (because I have no doubt that you have a very limited knowledge of the genre), you are simply a mental arrogant.

By the way, Hetzer, aren't you the one who was crazy about U2 albums? But how could you drop a final anathema like that after you stated in your earlier posts that "I've practically grown up with U2; they were my favorite band, and I've always appreciated them in a special way. Above all, I've always admired their early '90s tendency to experiment a bit with sounds far from their clichés; it's no coincidence that the album that intrigues me the most (not the absolute best, mind you, but the one that has impacted me personally) is 'Zooropa', which takes the search for a new sound to the extreme..." To me, you're absolutely inconsistent with your conclusion, or you've let yourself indulge in some provocation to spark one of those incredibly boring discussions with someone who calls himself DaveJonGilmour, who, of course, would have left his comments all day long.

"Only progressive rock could reach such heights, and albums like this one and many of its contemporaries render superfluous and chaotic (with very few exceptions) what music has produced after '77." In my opinion, this is a huge load of crap, the really big kind, D.O.C. I'm starting to get fed up with all this glorification of the years before '77; it seems to have become a trend here on DeB to act like faux-alternative intellectuals.
