Memorable is also the ending, after all.

Thank you all for the comments, especially to the aficionados like Pretazzo, Byork, and Francescobus. Punisher, I believe the movie is from '79 or thereabouts. Honestly, I was expecting a better reception for this film. I recently rewatched it because I didn't remember it like I used to, and it struck me in a particular way. The opening scene, by the way, is memorable. Anyway, thanks again, goodbye.

Thank you Sfascia, your comments are always extremely appreciated, as are those from Tyler, by the way.

I completely disagree.
Loach, in the final part, purely and simply shows us the contrasts between the two factions within the Irish community that led to the civil war, through the opposing ideals of the two brothers, demonstrating how, in the face of achieving an ideal, one can even kill their own blood.
Loach does not take a side between the two, but in my opinion, he merely represents the facts to us simply and purely.
By the way Guevo, who would you have sided with? :-)

Marcus, perhaps you mistook a movie review for a history treatise :-D. And as for the things I would have omitted, I actually hinted at them instead.

I thank everyone who participated.
Excuse me, El Guevo, can you tell me in which second of the film you found a hint of rhetoric?
I would be curious to know.
For the rest, I would like to make some clarifications before some clever individual starts with the usual nonsense about reds and blacks, misinterpreting the review and my political views.
Being a moderate, I am equally annoyed by the extremisms of either side.
In particular, those who, under the guise of social struggle, smash the windows of shops owned by hardworking people, park cars, and so on—I absolutely loathe them.
I have heard some say they feel like partisans.
They should just be ashamed of sullying the name of those who died for freedom, these idiots.

Sorry, but the opening is the most banal thing I've read in a long time and it made me lose all interest in reading the rest.
