Agalloch Ashes Against The Grain

In short, they really show off with Katatonia, despite the growl, which, even though I don't like it, doesn't clash at all in their albums.

So, first of all, it should be noted that this, in my opinion, is one of the best groups out there lately in the genre (even though classifying it as metal is really very reductive, as can be inferred from the review), if not the best. Gothic, Folk, Dark, metal, Post rock, psychedelia, it has it all. Forget Iron Maiden or Slayer (even though they can’t be compared at all).
The album is really beautiful, more than The Mantle, but, in my opinion, less than Pale Folklore. The score for the review for me should have been 4 since I disagree on some points (I see absolutely nothing black in this album), but just because you finally reviewed something original and valuable, I give you a full 5.

I like your rediscovery of NWOBHM.
Now you have the reviews of Saxon, Def Leppard, and Diamond Head waiting for you, you know that, right? :-)

I’ve listened to "La Folie" by The Stranglers and I quite liked it. "Golden Brown," in particular, is a fantastic song. I don’t know this one, although I know it’s considered one of the best by the band.

Anyway Ajeje, I invite you to listen to the album, if you approach it without any bias, so you can objectively judge if you're really losing your mind :)

The genre you proposed is not among my tastes, but the review is really enjoyable. Cia uagliò

Well, sorry, but then you shouldn't be mad at me, but at that joker who used your name.

Well Ajeje, then I can only extend to you the same invitation I made to Aniel to listen to the following and equally beautiful Nighttime birds. Salutif

I'M PUTTING ASIDE FOR A MOMENT THE DIPLOMATIC AND DEMOCRATIC TONE THAT HAS CHARACTERIZED MY ILLUSTRIOUS INTERVENTIONS IN RECENT MONTHS TO LAUNCH A CRY THAT I HOPE DOES NOT REMAIN ISOLATED: ENOUGH WITH THE REVIEWS ON IRON MAIDEN, DAMN IT. THE UNION HAS HAD ENOUGH!
