@sin: where you hear the punk in "iron maiden," only you know. To me, it sounds like a classic Maiden song. Your reasoning that all late 70s English bands must have had punk influences is rather strange. It's like saying that all late 90s American bands are influenced by grunge. Or that all late 80s English bands have dark or new wave influences.

I agree with what the metalhead said and I would add that, in my opinion, those who brag about their exploits or their attributes either haven't gotten laid in ages or are sexually repressed (which is basically the same thing).

I reiterate that, for me, punk has nothing to do with it in any respect. I even read once that the NWOBHM was born as a response and in distinction to the punk phenomenon. The Iron themselves were even beaten by some punks in their early days.

Honestly, I just can't understand what could be punk in the NWOBHM and in this album. I believe the review drew too much from some music books (including the so-called punk influence of the album), so I won't rate it.
