As for the plot, my earlier works were too plot-driven, and I realized it myself upon re-reading them.
I didn’t like them.
For quite some time now, I've been carefully avoiding any spoilers or even the slightest description of the plot in my reviews, because my goal is to pique the curiosity of some reader who, then, like Fritz, goes on to find out more.

I'm also from Taranto, and I'm aware that here everyone who can screw their neighbor does so with pleasure, in addition to the fact that there's a widespread ignorance like few places.

The ignorance of those who believe that working for eight hours breathing all kinds of toxic crap is the peak of professional aspiration, only to find themselves with cancer at 40, and of those who think that the revival (?) of the city could be achieved with a promotion to Serie B.
As for the rest, I believe that between Secondigliano and the white houses of Paolo VI or certain environments in Tamburi or the Historic Center, there's not that much difference.
Every city has its own sores that usually coincide with the outskirts.

Yet, like Alessio, I too have seen the film and I wasn't particularly shocked or scandalized because I'm also used to seeing and hearing all kinds of things.
I don't know what else to say, I found the film raw and sincere, but reality always surpasses fiction.
