Melvins (A) Senile Animal

You've come up with a tasty concept! So I'm gonna copy and paste from somewhere else: the latest MELVINS is a total blast! Double vocals, double bass, double buzz, double drums, double everything. I've heard many tracks in advance. Those are doubles too. I give it a 5. One last thing: the drum interludes! Do you hear? Do you hear how good this word sounds... "interludes"? Huh? You like it, huh?

Porcapaletta, Odradek! You're sending one every two days now! I understand that the internet is the kingdom of "everything and right now" but you’re averaging 15-16 albums a month! I mean, even if I wanted to follow your suggestions (always refined, stylish, and enticing, of course), I’d end up with an immense amount of stuff to listen to, losing the possibility of 'deciphering' it and, most importantly, without the time needed to do so. I won’t deny the pleasure of reading. But allow me to raise a strong doubt: the disaffection towards the ability to "choose and care" for ONE album. And I’m not specifically talking about you, but speaking in general, I mean… debaser is great, a thousand proposals, exchanges, etc., etc., but for me personally, in the end, it all reduces to a couple of albums (Melvins and Amplifier are more than enough for this month). How do you do it? Do you listen to music even in REM phase? :D Okay, today I’m serious. But now I'm off to the beach to try out my new floaties. Bye, kiddo. And be careful or you’ll blow the motor.

Asva Futurist's against the ocean

Okay, got it. I mean, to be honest, I was looking for Danny Carey's ZAUM and instead I found this. I hit play (ugh, who the hell are these Asva? Probably the usual nonsense, right...) and I almost have a stroke! So I tell myself: I’ll sneak around online and look for more infos. Here we go. Terrifying album. The end.

"If you happen to be in northern Sardinia during the summer, don’t miss the event at the beginning of September because overall it’s enjoyable to spend some time in a bright and fun world where ordinary people set the rules, even if only for 15 minutes." ...let’s shiver!...

Did you hear the latest? To me, on a first listen, it didn't seem that great honestly. But just yesterday I dug into "Side One" and, well... damn. Today I chewed on it and... what an album! Because Belew is always Belew. Biliù. Biliù. Biliù. Biliù. Biliù. Biliù. Biliù. Biliù.
Biliù, I like you. More and more.

ps. Bartle, if you're interested, I’ll point you to a contemporary band that I think truly kicks ass and has taken the best of NWOBHM: here, check out this review Closing In - Early Man - Recensione di Antmo
